Just a reminder: the Lenten Penance Service will be this Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM at St. Francis de Sales Church.

PS: one of the priests will be in the confessional this time while the other will be in the “cry room” in back of Church.

TO OUR ESTEEMED PARISHIONERS AT ST. FRANCIS DE SALES PARISH AND DIVINE INFANT OF PRAGUE MISSION:

With the impending snowstorm that is about to occur and affect our area for the next couple of days, I wanted to announce to you that there will be a normal 9:30 AM Mass tomorrow morning at St. Francis de Sales Parish. However, it will be a modified and short version of the Mass than the one you are used to. This Mass will be offered for the convenience of those who wish to worship on Sunday. The 11:30 AM Mass at Divine Infant of Prague is cancelled due to the potential of the storm arriving in the area at that time making travel difficult (if not impossible).
High winds are predicted over the next couple of days along with the large amount of snow. St. Francis de Sales Church will probably be closed after the 9:30 Mass and remain closed until the storm passes.
There are many predictions as to the size and scope of the storm. It may bring much fear to people as well as worry. Yet, we are a faith filled people in the midst of our Lenten season. Ironically, this Sunday is “Laetare” Sunday which means “Rejoice.” We can and must Rejoice in the Love that the Lord has for us and continues to show us. I leave you with this: There is a passage that will get us through this ‘storm’ and other ‘storms’ in our life. It is this: “Blessed are they who trust in God” (Psalm 2). Let the Lord Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd be your guide now and always…
