Pick Me Up
The Hebrew word for declare implies a continuous, ever-present revelation; meaning that the heavens are not silent, they declare God’s glory throughout the sky, stars, sun, and moon. Each sunrise, sunset, flower, and star is a deliberate act of God’s handiwork, revealing His power, wisdom, and love. ...AND it is ongoing... eternal!
Believe this, and carry this, in your heart as you journey through your week. Know that God's beautiful love is reflected in everything around you. Regardless of your situation, God brings beauty into your circumstance through that and those around you. Take heart and let our amazing Father in Heaven make something good out of this day, and the next and the next...

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Psalm 19:1

Pick Me Up
God is never late. Let that sink in for a minute. God is never late.
We live in a society that runs on time. Part of the pressure meeting that demand.
God is never late.
In our busy schedules and summer plans we hurry which can bring stress.
Weddings, funerals, graduations, medical situations, and vacations consume our hearts sparking various emotions
God is never late.
Be sure to include Jesus in all your decisions today, trust Him to make all things run smoothly and bring you peace.
Take time to ask and He will deliver, because God is never late.

Pick Me Up
Matthew West words ring true for most of us too often; “I used to think grace was a ladder every sinner had to climb. If only I could just do better, I could earn it over time." The ongoing balance between doing good and forgiving ourselves when we fail can be frustrating. But by the grace of God, our journey can be fruitful when we hold on to the powerful truth that God is faithful even when we are not.
I think of Paul's words, "God’s Law has power over my mind, but sin still has power over my sinful old self. I thank God I can be free through Jesus Christ our Lord!" Romans 7:25. Yes, thank God. Remember these lyrics from West, "I’m not loved because I’m worthy, I’m loved because You’re good."

God is good all the time, All the time God is good! May God’s grace abound in your life today. Remember to wear RED this Pentecost Sunday

Pick Me Up
Psalm 145:9 says, “The Lord is good to everyone.
He showers compassion on all his creation.”
Richard Rohr’s meditations on the sound and profound wisdom of spiritualists such as Julian of Norwich offers great insight to our God and a beautiful way of relaying His goodness. Julian was convinced even though we are born into sin and cannot help ourselves, that, “All will be well and all will be well and every kind of thing shall be well.”
She was referring to the consequences of sin. Emotions are humanly innate, and do not belong to God’s character. God does not get angry at us, disappointed or take revenge, instead God is above all that. Julian points out, “sin itself has no existential value, [but] it has impact. It causes pain.”
Yes, life is filled with varying degrees of pain ultimately producing all kinds of emotion, but God’s majestic, caring, and powerful love has already overcome that which is the basis for it all! God, who is merciful and loves us so much, gave His only Son to pay the ransom so all we need to do is, in Julian’s words, “awaken to the truth that we are unconditionally adored by God.”
“Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8
