Our Homeward Point Emergency Shelter is entering into a Code Red.

With temperatures expected to climb above 100°F this Saturday, August 1, extreme heat poses a serious health and safety risk for our neighbors experiencing homelessness and anyone needing relief from the heat.

What does a Code Red mean?

• Homeward Point will remain open all day Saturday with extended hours.
• Community members may arrive at any time throughout the day.
• There will be no capacity limits.
• Anyone needing a safe, climate-controlled space is welcome.
• Our family side will also be open to support families seeking respite from the heat.

Just as severe winter weather can be dangerous, extreme summer temperatures can quickly become life-threatening. If you or someone you know needs a cool place to stay safe, our doors are open.

You can help us by spreading the word so everyone in our community knows there is a place to find relief from the heat.
