Return of The Ministry:

I sincerely have to apologize to You All, however I have had to take a Medical Sabbatical behind a body that is not the same as it once was.

In these uncertain times that we are living in and bearing witness to it is important for not just myself, but to you all to "look for the signs".

Those signs are nigh upon us.

I will seek to engage more of myself to St. Mary's Apostolic Church, but in doing so there will be a few minor changes.

First item on the Agenda is that St. Mary's Apostolic Church will undergo a minor change in the name and will have it registered within the next few weeks.

We will now be called St. Mary's Apostolic-Catholic Church.

I am the Reverend / Minister Raymond F. McAteer, a Catholic Lay Minister for almost 13 years this upcoming Summer.

I am blessed and happily married for the same number of years to my beautiful and wonderful wife, Elisha Evadne McAteer who is also officially Ordained as Minister as well and we have a wonderful 12 year old daughter, Christiana, who has just celebrated her 12th Birthday this past week.

My personal medical issues have exacted a severe toll on my body and I have been remiss in giving more of my energy and time, but my body's physical limitations have been stretched to their limits.

I give it to God The Almighty. There will come a day when my body will be better and I will be healed. Along with a Medical Team of Doctors, I shall be making my own personal changes and returning back to this Ministry.

Please allow me some leeway as I continue on my path to healing.

God bless You All !!

I certainly hope that everyone had a wonderful Lenten Season and that everyone's Easter weekend this past week was a blessed affair for you and your families.

Divine Mercy Sunday is here. Let us take advantage of this extraordinary grace of the renewal of our Baptismal Innocence.

The extraordinary grace promised for devout observance of Divine Mercy Sunday, including going to confession and receiving Holy Communion, is considered equivalent to a complete renewal of baptismal grace, offering forgiveness of all sins and punishment.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

The Promise:
Jesus, through St. Faustina, promised that on Divine Mercy Sunday, a soul who goes to confession and receives Holy Communion will obtain "complete forgiveness of sins and punishment".

Equivalence to Baptism:
This forgiveness is described as a "total renewal of baptismal grace".

Father Ignacy Rozycki's Explanation:
The theologian who examined St. Faustina's writings for the Holy See, Rev. Ignacy Rozycki, explained that this is a complete renewal of baptismal grace, and in that sense like a "second Baptism".

Not a Plenary Indulgence:
It's important to note that this extraordinary grace is distinct from the plenary indulgence granted by the Church for devout observance of Divine Mercy Sunday, which requires specific, often difficult conditions.

Conditions for Grace:
To receive this extraordinary grace, a person only needs to go to confession and receive Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday.

Focus on Mercy:
Divine Mercy Sunday is a day to focus on God's boundless mercy and to trust in His ability to forgive and heal.

Warning against an increasingly unpredictable and aggressive "delusion of omnipotence" threatening the globe, Pope Leo XIV called on world leaders and individuals to empty their hearts and minds of hatred and violence, and to start serving life.

"Enough of the idolatry of self and money! Enough of the display of power! Enough of war! True strength is shown in serving life," he said during a special evening prayer vigil for peace in St. Peter's Basilica April 11.

"I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth..."
The Apostles’ Creed is more than words...it’s our foundation of faith.

10/28/2025

Pope Leo XIV today: "The supreme rule in the Church is love. No one is called to dominate; all are called to serve. No one should impose his or her own ideas; we must all listen to one another. No one is excluded; we are all called to participate. No one possesses the whole truth; we must all humbly seek it and seek it together."

"[W]e must dream of and build a more humble Church; a Church that does not stand upright like the Pharisee, triumphant and inflated with pride, but bends down to wash the feet of humanity; a Church that does not judge as the Pharisee does the tax collector, but becomes a welcoming place for all; a Church that does not close in on itself, but remains attentive to God so that it can similarly listen to everyone. Let us commit ourselves to building a Church that is entirely synodal, ministerial and attracted to Christ and therefore committed to serving the world."
