Due to the inclement weather conditions and forecast through tomorrow, all services and activities at First Presbyterian Church are cancelled for Sunday, January 25, 2026. While we will miss gathering together tomorrow, we hope that you will spend some focused time in prayer and reflection on the Scriptures.

Here are the Scriptures for tomorrow, along with some questions to help guide your reflection. Pastor Kelly will be preaching on these scriptures next Sunday, February 1.

Isaiah 9:1-4 and Matthew 4:12-23

Additionally, the Psalm for the day is Psalm 27:1, 4-9; the epistle is I Corinthians 1:10-18.

As you read the Scriptures what word or phrase stands out to you and why?

Are there images that come to mind?

What connections can you make between the readings and other Scriptures?

What messages do you hear in these passages? Is there a "main idea" that rises to the top?

What do you hear God calling you / calling us to do, to be, or to change, as a result of these readings?

Considering the weather forecast for Saturday evening through Sunday morning, the city's ability to effectively clear the streets (particularly side roads and neighborhoods), and opting to take an abundance of caution, the Session has decided to cancel all services and activities for Sunday, January 5.
