Hi Everyone! New volunteer positions are now available:

Tuesdays- 4pm
Wednesdays- 3 pm
Fridays- 3pm

Description: A group of about 2-3 volunteers are appointed a specific location (restaurant/cafe) to pick-up the food from and then deliver to an appointed drop-off location (church/homeless shelter). These events usually take about 30 mins to an hour, and you get volunteer hours awarded to you. Drop-off locations are a walking distance.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is aiming to make big adjustments moving forward and we need your help. If you believe you have strong leadership qualities and are interested in being a part of the E-Board for RLC at Hunter College please fill out the Google Form below. THE DEADLINE to submit the form is Monday, June 17th.

For those of you who fill out the form: if we believe you would be a great fit we will be conducting in-person interviews for the four available E-Board positions. The positions will be filled on a first come first serve basis, so please have the form filled out as soon as you can. Feel free to message us if you have any questions!

For the last three questions, please limit your answers to no more than 4 sentences.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is recruiting for a new volunteer position -- Outreach Volunteer!

Outreach Volunteers allow RLC to build strong connections with potential food donors by meeting decision makers in person and spreading the word about the food rescue program. With your help, we could rescue food from restaurants, bakeries and cafes local to you, feeding the food insecure of your neighborhood!

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine currently has open volunteer position.
40% of the food produced in the US goes to waste and the purpose of our club is to redefine food rescue here on the Upper East Side. We transport edible foods and provide it to the homeless and impoverished.

Every small bit of food, time, and donation counts! This week, to honor the small actions that add up to HUGE change, our donations less than $50 will be matched 50%. Join us today with a donation of any amount that you can contribute to fight food waste and feed the hungry!

This project is Rescuing Leftover Cuisine in New York City by eliminating some of the 40% of food waste the U.S. produces and taking unsold product food from restaurants, catering companies, and cafes to the one in five New Yorkers who rely on food pantries to eat.
