We often search for grand signs from above, but God's presence and wisdom are usually found in the people sitting right beside us. It's a comfort to know love is present among His people, through His people.

We celebrate Jesus, our King, whose first royal act was to pour out His Spirit upon us. This same Spirit grants us abundant life, from Pentecost until His return. It's the Spirit that empowers every follower to confess, 'Jesus is Lord.'

We are blessed by God's presence and the fulfillment of His promises. The same Spirit that empowered Christ now works through us as a gift to others, and may one day be a gift to us when we need it most.

Paul reminds the Corinthians that confessing Jesus as Lord isn't a sign of spiritual superiority, but a gift from the same Spirit everyone receives. This Spirit also grants faith and trust, enabling genuine allegiance.
