📣 Panel Announcement!

We’re excited to announce the full lineup of panelists for our Executive Panel Discussion on August 25th!

Pjetër Nilaj, Spencer McIntosh, and Erin Scarfone (née McAtee) will join our moderator, Father Daniel Ray, LC, for an exciting conversation about navigating life as young Catholic professionals in NYC.

Whether you’re new to the city or have lived here for years, the Catholic scene in New York is buzzing - and there’s no better time for a conversation about how we can dive deeper into our faith as young professionals and discover all of the opportunities to engage with the vibrant communities around us.

How do you find Christ in the everyday?

As a working professional, the pressure to execute things perfectly is always at the forefront of our minds. But Jesus taught us that "unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

YCP NYC's Director of Marketing, Michael, takes this Gospel quite literally, because he loves social dancing!

According to Michael, "Social dancing is a great reminder that it's okay to not be perfectly prepared for everything. You'll make some wrong steps, they'll make some wrong steps, but that's half the fun! Holding onto every mistake discourages you, and soon you won't find joy in your play or your work. If we can re-learn to take the tangled steps of our lives in stride, as children do, even the missteps can create our happiest memories and greatest opportunities for change. Sometimes it's the imperfect choices that open us up to the growth, joy, and love that Christ intended for us."

Today, take a moment to enjoy something that reinvigorates your child-like wonder, so that you can return to your work with a heart full of the innocence and love of Jesus. St. Joseph the Worker, pray for us!

Young Catholic Professionals have so many sources of inspiration to draw from on the road to sainthood. We asked attendees at YCP NYC’s networking happy hour the saints that they look up to - one even had a connection to a saint via family! 🤯
