Matt 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This is a terrible and sad thing to think we could forsake such a great love as the love we have in Jesus Christ. Many don’t believe that these scriptures can happen once we believe, some think once saved always saved, some think you can live anyway and grace will cover it, and others well ….. I believe these scriptures to be very true to what they say. There was five wise and five foolish virgins they all heard the call go out, but the foolish had let their lamps go out, it wasn’t that their lamps was never lit, but it had gone out. They once had the fire and their lamps was burning, but they walked away, they served other gods, they cared more about pleasing other men and their own flesh than they did God. There are many other things that they could have done. People today are still doing it. They’re compromising on the Word of God one of the most dangerous things that we can do, the lamp has to have the right substance to keep it lit and the substance we need is The Word of God. David said in the book of psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. That’s what it is, it says what it means don’t take men or women’s word or their opinions Let the Word of God speak to you if Truth is truly what you’re looking for then Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Men and women everywhere are putting their own opinions to what the Word is saying or meaning and it’s not scripture, in revelation 22: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. My friend that just doesn’t mean leaving out scriptures. Now you may say but it says the Lord said depart from me I never knew you, when we turn our backs to him or put other things before him what ever it may be we lose our relationship with him just as Adam in the garden and just as he blotted out our sins and forgot them he can blot us out as if he never knew us, my friend that would be an awful awful thing. Jesus was plain he said not everyone that says Lord Lord will enter into heaven, but those that DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER (Spirit) the will of the Father is The Word of God the One True Substance that keeps our lamp burning. Don’t be deceived. Follow God not man. I hope this helps .
