The doubter becomes the believer with the HIGHEST declaration of faith! 🙌 Thomas went from 'I will not believe' to making the most powerful statement about Jesus in all of John's Gospel. That's what we call poetic justice - and it's absolutely beautiful! ✨

Lazarus had been dead four days. Martha said it plainly: "Lord, by this time there will be an odor." This was not a near-death experience. This was death. Real, finished, four-days-in death.

And Jesus called him out anyway.

Today, Jesus is in the tomb.

The one who called Lazarus out is behind the stone Himself. The disciples who watched the whole thing are hiding behind locked doors. The reversal is total. The silence is complete.

And God is doing something that makes last Saturday look like a preview."The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him." — Lamentations 3:25

Good Friday.

Not the day to rush toward Sunday. Not the day to pivot quickly to hope because the weight of today is too uncomfortable to sit with.

Just stay. At the foot of the cross. Long enough to let what happened here actually land.

"He was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." — Isaiah 53:5

Isaiah wrote that seven hundred years before it happened. Seven hundred years before the soldiers, before the nails, before the hill outside Jerusalem.

It reads like an eyewitness account.

Forgiveness is not a divine shrug. It was paid for at the highest possible price, today, two thousand years ago, for you specifically.
