Gather, Inc., (formerly known as the Seacoast Family Food Pantry), began in 1816 with a small group of women whose goal was to feed the families of fishermen in Portsmouth. Gather’s goal is to end hunger in the Seacoast. Their mission is to fulfill the needs of low-income individuals and families with food, personal care products, and education for healthy living.

A Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund $5,000 grant was provided to help support Gather’s mobile programming. The program is located throughout the Seacoast and assists to build the food distribution capacity within some of the most vulnerable local communities. In addition to their traditional mobile markets, Gather will also be introducing a new mobile bus pantry so they can serve more residents.
