Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday and a meaningful Memorial Day weekend. 🕊

Due to unexpected technical difficulties with our pre-recorded service audio, we unfortunately will not be able to share this week’s online Memorial Day weekend service as originally planned.

While the recording itself could not be salvaged, we still wanted to share this meaningful Memorial Day table setting prepared during the service in remembrance and honor of those who served and sacrificed.

The empty chair represents their absence.

The white rose symbolizes remembrance and the loved ones who continue to carry their memory forward.

The candle represents hope.

The lemon reminds us of the bitterness of loss and fate.

The salt symbolizes the tears shed by families and friends.

The inverted glass reflects the fallen's inability to share the meal.

Often referred to as the Missing Man Table or Fallen Soldier Table, each element carries symbolic meaning. Once again, we honor those who served and sacrificed, especially those who never returned home. 🕯✨️

Open Call! Brookside Performing Arts Camp 2026

We are looking for performers (no experience needed) for our performing arts camp this summer. Campers will engage in indoor and outdoor theater games, music, arts & crafts, and fellowship activities, culminating in a performance of excerpts from the musical Godspell JR. The camp runs July 27 through 31 from 8:30am - 4pm. The performance will be on Friday, July 31st at 2:30pm. Open to campers ages 6 - 13. Register here. It's free!!! Bring a friend!

Due to the impending storm and extreme weather, Sunday Worship Service has been cancelled.

✨️ ☑️ Annual Meeting will still be held on Zoom at 11:15 am, and we encourage all church members to attend, as a quorum is needed. Please check your email for the Zoom link, or message us if you need that information.

✨ We’re honored to share some wonderful news! The Manchester Historic Association & Millyard Museum has named Manning House, at Brookside Church, as their 2026 Historic Preservation Award – Stewardship Award recipient!

This recognition celebrates the ongoing care and preservation of historic places that matter to our community. We’re grateful to our congregation and neighbors who help us honor and protect this special part of Manchester’s history.

Since public voting for the People’s Choice Award begins in February, please stay tuned!

We are excited to announce that the MHA has selected five honorees for the 2026 Historic Preservation Awards!🎉

Congratulations to the 2026 Historic Preservation Award honorees:

The Historic Preservation Awards program recognizes and supports the efforts of individuals, businesses and organizations that have made significant contributions to the preservation of buildings, neighborhoods, traditions, and other historic resources in the Queen City.
