We've got some new changes!!
Going forward we'll be gathering under the name of "Overflow Youth Group"
Romans 15:13 (NIV):
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
💡Paul’s prayer here is that believers would be so filled with God’s presence that hope doesn’t just stay inside but pours out of them. It's God Himself, through the Holy Spirit, who produces joy, peace, and hope. The idea of overflow means there is more than enough, not just for you, but for others around you. When your life is overflowing with the Spirit’s work, your joy and peace become contagious.
Luke 6:45 (NIV):
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”
💡Here Jesus is teaching that what comes out of us is directly connected to what fills us. If our hearts are full of Christ, His Word, and His Spirit, then what we speak and how we live will reflect that goodness. If we are filled with the world’s negativity or sin, then that too will overflow.
For Overflow, this is a reminder that what fills you will shape what flows out of you. When your heart is filled with God’s truth and love, your words, actions, and influence will show it, & others will experience Christ through you.
