Did you know that St. Jude is not the only patron saint of impossible causes? Most often, when we are asking for a prayer that seems beyond hope, we turn to St. Jude to intercede for us. However, St. Rita of Cascia is also a powerful intercessor for our most difficult needs.

With sadness, but hope in the Resurrection, we share that Rev. Bruce W. Collard was called to his rest. He was 77 years old.

Fr. Collard was ordained a priest on April 26, 1980, by the Most Reverend Odore J. Gendron, Bishop of Manchester and served as an associate pastor at parishes throughout the Diocese. He also served in Campus Ministry as the Catholic Chaplain in the Division of Student Affairs at Southern New Hampshire University from 1988 until his retirement from active ministry in July 2021.

This morning, Bishop Libasci presided at Fr. Collard's Mass of Christian Burial. He will be laid to rest in his native Attleboro, Massachusetts on Tuesday.

In your charity, please remember Fr. Collard in your prayers. Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.
