Very misleading…yes Gov Beshear gave us unlimited funding from the federal government during COVID…and I am grateful for...

Very misleading…yes Gov Beshear gave us unlimited funding from the federal government during COVID…and I am grateful for that, but last year’s funding was a struggle and then here we are again this year. The elderly of our state deserve much better from all the powers that be. We would love to have the additional 5.5 million needed for the home delivered meal program in the state. We would also appreciate the state government funding this program for the future as well. We do not want this same situation again next year..and the next.

Hunger is not political. No person should ever have to worry about where their next meal is going to come from. In Kentucky we've directed more funding to food banks, senior meals and summer meals for kids. And we’ve fought back hard against cuts and threats to SNAP. Our people deserve better.
