Every day, we face a choice: Will we follow the desires of the flesh or walk by the Spirit—together as a community of faith?

In Galatians 5:13–21, Paul reminds us that Christian freedom is not about self-indulgence, but about a Spirit-formed life of love that shapes how we live with one another in the church.

We are not meant to fight this struggle alone. The Holy Spirit is forming us into a people who love, serve, and grow together in Christ.

What does it mean to truly ā€œFinish the Raceā€ of faith?

This week’s sermon from Galatians 5:7-15 reminds us that the Christian life is not meant to be run alone. Through Christ, we are set free to love, serve, encourage, and walk faithfully together.

As we follow Jesus, may we help one another stay focused, overcome distractions, and run the race with unity and grace. šŸƒā€ā™‚ļøāœļø

Relationships are a lot like a tassel—many individual threads woven together and held by something stronger at the center.

In our May blog, written by Beth Stafford, we reflect on how God’s love, grace, and forgiveness hold relationships together even through tension, conflict, and difficult seasons. ā¤ļø

ā€œOver all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.ā€ — Colossians 3:14

Galatians 5 teaches that true freedom is found in Christ alone. God did not rescue us so we could return to legalism, fear, or captivity, but so we could live by faith through love.

This Sunday, Caleb McCaughan preached from Galatians 5:1-6 in a message titled ā€œSet Free,ā€ reminding us that the gospel is Jesus plus nothing. Through Christ, God has set us free and calls us to have faith and stand firm in that freedom.

ā€œFour Types of Peopleā€ | Sermon on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 by Caleb McCaughan, Set Free Series.

From Galatians 4:21–26, this message points us away from self-reliance and toward the freedom found in Christ, challenging us to consider what we rely on—our efforts or God’s promise.

Like springtime flowers, may we learn to show up for others.

In every season—joy, sorrow, overwhelm, or defeat—God calls us to be present with one another in love.

ā€œRejoice with those who rejoice.ā€ (Romans 12:15)
ā€œThe Lord is close to the brokenhearted.ā€ (Psalm 34:18)
ā€œCarry each other’s burdens.ā€ (Galatians 6:2)

Showing up doesn’t require perfect words—just a willing heart. A meal, a listening ear, a prayer, a simple presence… these small acts reflect the love of Jesus, who came near to us in every condition (John 1:14).

Because sometimes the most powerful ministry is simply this: show up.
