Comfort isn’t the problem. Misplaced comfort is. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, and when we seek in the things of this world the comfort that only God can give, we’ll always be left unsatisfied.

This is a photo of David taken just a few minutes after he gave his life to Christ through faith.

David has been attending our church for the past couple of months. He grew up in churches that often emphasized moral lessons and being a good person. But as he has heard the Scriptures, God has helped him see his need for Jesus—the work Jesus accomplished on the cross to pay for his sins and the hope of eternal life through Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.

David brought nothing to Jesus but faith, and Jesus gave him everything he needed for all eternity.

We bring our sin and our faith, and Jesus gives us forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life. Praise God for what He is doing in David’s life!
