Genesis 16, the story of Sarai and Hagar, can be a story we want to skip over in our Bible. The effects of sin are all over this chapter and it's not what we want to see. But in the midst of sin we learn a lot about God in his care for Hagar. Do you feel abandoned, unseen, or hurt? This chapter teaches us that God sees, hears, and gives grace.

Specifically for Hagar, God:
- Pursued her
- Knew her name
- Saw and heard her
- Let her see Him
- Gave her the same promise of offspring
- Gave her direction, purpose, and hope
- Gave her significance

Do you, like Hagar, feel overlooked or hurt and you need God to hear and see?

This week our kids learned about Moses parting the Red Sea from Exodus 13-15.

The Israelites faced certain death, but God miraculously made a way for them to be saved by parting the Red Sea. We are all sinners and face certain death for our sin, but God miraculously made the way for us to be saved by sending Jesus to die in our place for our sin and rise again.

This week worship the God who makes a way for us to be saved with your kids!

Our next Women's Fellowship is in just a week! We will be spreading God's love in the kitchen by meal prepping for the local foster family we support, the Counts. Come help prep and share some love, laughter, recipes, and tips. Contributions will be collected in advance to do grocery shopping.

This week our kids learned about Exodus 5-12, the story of the ten plagues in Egypt.

They learned that because of Pharaoh's hard heart, Egypt suffered but God's people were saved. Because of Jesus' loving heart, He willingly suffered on the cross so we could be saved from sin. His blood saves us from our sin just as the Passover lamb's blood saved the firstborn of the Israelites.
