This Sunday, our youth discussed our identity in Christ, and how we can be reminded that we are blessed children of God even when the world would tell us differently. One way is through prayer, through the constant prayer the Bible tells us about. I've found this book, The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence, a wonderful guide to bring an awareness of God into our daily activities. As Brother Lawrence himself wrote, "Good when He gives,
supremely good; Nor less when He denies: Afflictions, from His sovereign hand, Are blessings in disguise."
