Unless a special schedule change has been announced, on the first Sunday of each month we we have a potluck fellowship meal following the worship service. Spriggs Road Presbyterian Church is a growing church

in Prince William County, Virginia, a busy suburb of Washington, DC. Road Presbyterian Church is a particular church of the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America). In a time in which many Christians have seen splits in churches, we are quite the opposite because we are the product of a merger of two separate congregations: Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Manassas, Virginia, and Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Woodbridge, Virginia. Both of these bodies, though biblical in their teaching and preaching and faithful to the "faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints" (Jude 1:3), explored the possibility of a merger and went through something of a "courtship" process in which the leadership of both congregations met, members met in homes of members of both congregations to discuss potential benefits and drawbacks from merger, conducted joint worship services, and voted separately for the merger, which was completed in October, 2007. By God's grace, we are slowly growing as a body that is learning to love one another as we continue under the faithful preaching of our shepherd, Pastor Michael Mang, and the leadership and teaching of others in our congregation. We are slowly growing in numbers as well and would welcome your presence as we seek to encourage you in your growth in the understanding of the work of God in your life.

The Blessings of Trials
James 1:12-18
Trials are not evidence of God's absence or hostility but the very means by which He proves and matures genuine faith, promising the crown of life to those who endure out of love for Him. Sin and death arise not from God but from our own desires, so we must never blame Him for our failures. Instead, we should recognize every good gift - especially the gift of failures. Instead, we should recognize every good gift - especially the gift of new life - as flowing down from the unchanging, generous Father of lights. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/96261345216496

Ratification of the Gracious Sinai Covenant (Part 1)
Exodus 24:1-18
Those covered by the blood of the covenant will be able to see God and stand unharmed, completely protected in His presence. He will not lay a hand on those covered by His blood. Everything in the Sinai Covenant is rooted in grace. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/8302616659155

Regulatory Laws for Israel's Religious Life

Exodus 23:10-19

God trained His people that He was Lord of their time and how they used it. The Word of God regulates and directs all things in our life, but especially does it regulate our worship. What we do in worship, and how we do it, is critical because everything in life flows from worship.

God's Law Demands Truth and Justice
Exodus 23:1-9
God's Law requires truth and justice. Christ is setting us apart in the truth and in justice. We do the right thing even though we might have the advantage over an adversary or a stranger. Truth and justice must start in the heart. Both must flourish in the home and in the church as they work their way to permeate society. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/8926143324663

Laws Calling for Total Commitment to the LORD
Exodus 22:28-31
Our commitment to Christ and His Kingdom needs periodic assessment and evaluation. The welfare of society gains the most when God's people are completely sold out to Christ. A nation flourishes that honors the LORD and is consecrated to Him in heart, soul, mind, and strength. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/8226161330116

Laws on How to Treat the Sojourner

Exodus 22:21-27

Those that love the LORD will not oppress the sojourner. They will not mistreat widows and orphans. They will lend to the poor. We do it because by the Gospel of Christ Jesus we have experienced God's kind treatment of us when we were strangers. We deserved being outcast, yet we received kindness and compassion as we were brought inside to Christ.

Those that love the LORD will not oppress the sojourner. They will not mistreat widows and orphans. They will lend to the poor. We do it because b...
