Today we celebrated Mother's Day. It was a very special day because the brothers prepared lunch for all the mothers to thank them on this special day. Also, the students sang a song and later we played some games.

a for the D.C. Church

Today was a wonderful day because God allowed us pleasant weather and the visit of approximately 250 brothers and sisters from New York, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Centereach, New Jersey and Philadelphia. Deacon Jae Mun Kim testified how God allowed his salvation and how that same God is working in his life. There were performances by the Memphis Belle that gladdened the hearts of the participants, as well as hymns prepared with the music school students. The word was a joy to our hearts; Pastor Yeong Kook Park shared 2 Kings 7:1-8 "God worked through these four lepers who were outside the city, likewise, God works in us when we leave our area of comfort, and we can see the glory of God in our lives.”

On Sunday we had service with Tumaini Baptist Church and connected with Christians of other churches to share the gospel and invite them to the CLF (Christian Leaders Fellowship) Conference! As we connect with different churches and share the word we can see that God helps us in many ways.

Today was another wonderful day of cooking class! We are so thankful that God has given us this time to learn to cook delicious seasoned fried Korean chicken and also have fellowship with friends from the community. It is a program that has brought many blessings to participants and also staff alike

The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. (Psalm 111:2)

People without faith can't believe in God and try to do the things God should do. When you don't have faith, everything becomes your responsibility. Washing your sins becomes your responsibility. Trying to stop sinning becomes your responsibility. Living happily becomes your responsibility. But if you have faith in God, all of these things are no longer yours but God's.

Many are suffering because they haven't received forgiveness for their sins. They're trying to wash away their sins themselves and don't know the heart of God. Even if you wanted to take care of your sins, what can you do about it? Because we couldn't take care of it, God sent Jesus to wash our sins away.

Today we had a special mind education session at the Togo Embassy. Pastor David Kim delivered his lecture title, "There is no 'too late' in life." Through the life stories of Grandma Moses who started painting at the age of 76 and Toyo Shibata, who started writing poetry at the age of 92, it is said that it is never too late to start something.

In the bible, Abraham and Moses were called by God at a lage age and were greatly used. It was a meaningful time to learn that it is never too late to start and that when we start the Mind Education, it will change us, change others, and change the country!

Acts 15:11 "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they”

The purpose of writing Romans was to tell people who believe that they are saved by faith, not by the works of the law. This is the gospel of grace.
