Team Recap #15 (Last one - final bow 2023 trip)
(5/31/23) (Japan Time, we are 14 hrs. ahead CST)
(Written before take off - around 15 hours ago)
Good afternoon!
I am writing to you from the Haneda airport.
The first several of us have boarded our flights to their destinations as of this moment.
Nori, Barbie, Mark, Pam, and Shane all on the same flight home.
Jessie and I the later flights, both separate, but we are getting to hang out together.
Elijah left a long time ago to get to his terminal.
The team woke up this morning in Yokohama and met for a quick prayer time.
We all prayed and gave words to one another.
After a train and a bus about 1 1/2 hours later we made it to the Haneda airport in Tokyo.
All spent the next couple hours finding where they needed to go and checking in and most of us got to share a snack/meal together.
Soon we will all be home.
Even here it’s sad to say goodbye and even here God has created divine appointments for each of us both with one another and others.
We have more to do when we get back home.
We also each know that together or separate we plan to come back again soon.
We love you Japan. 😊💙
Thank you God for bringing us together and in fellowship for such a time as this!!!

Team Recap #14
(5/30/23) (Japan Time, we are 14 hrs. ahead CST)
Last full day in Japan.
Today was a fun day.
We have had rest days, explore days, travel days, and plenty of concerts/worship services, but I don’t think there has been a straight ‘do anything day’. Today was that.
We woke up and did breakfast on our own and then a team time to talk about takeaways.
We all met downstairs and went to the main Yokohama area.
Here everyone split up and had lunch then we all went to shop wherever we were feeling to bring stuff home.
Hours later we met at the hotel, refreshed, and went to TGI Fridays for a meet up with some friends where we got to laugh and pray together.
It was wonderful!!! (Highlight of my day!!!)
Afterward, some of us went to shop a bit more and others back to pack.
Now we are all back and ready to get rest for the long day ahead.
I think I can speak for all of us when I say ‘Wow’ Japan you rock!!!
Getting to be here and minister, but also to the people who are so genuine and who minister right back to us.
We are all wrapping things up at the right thing at the right time.
We all have takeaways I think and are ready for home to move on what has been tasked to us.
What I continually get amazed at is God’s goodness and the way He makes family and people bonded.
One more day.
I’ll see you on the last official team post tomorrow.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers for all of us!!!
They have truly been heard.
They have truly been needed.
We love you.

Team Recap #13
(5/29/23) (Japan Time, we are 14 hrs. ahead CST)
Today was bittersweet, the journey is officially starting to come to a close.
We had a slow morning, cleaned our rooms, and then prayed for and said goodbye to the last church and pastor of the trip Akira Mori.
Soon after we were dropped off at the train station to ride back to Yokohama.
After several hours of train travel looking out at the country side we arrived back at our hotel for the last two nights of the trip.
We checked in and then took a train for a sushi dinner.
Afterward, we went out for karaoke.
(Karaoke in Japan is huge, they perform in separate rooms where guests get to have their own space to sing to one another.)
We had a fantastic night and came in late this evening.
I feel blessed to know each and every one of these souls.
They are family.
Thank you for being so awesome, loving, kind, and fun.

Team Recap #12
(5/28/23) (Japan Time, we are 14 hrs. ahead CST)
Today, ‘Wind’ was given the honor of leading both the morning and the evening service at ‘Global Missions Japan’.
The morning was a traditional worship set where
Mark Couch gave a message and the team got to pray and minister for whoever was in need afterward.
Lunch was provided by the church and then everyone had a free afternoon to walk, talk, and relax before the second service.
The 2nd service the band did an acoustic set where they read scriptures in between.
The team got a moment to give what the most important thing they’ve learned in Christian walk and we more time for prayer was available at the end.
We ate dinner again with Akira Mori and what a blessed night it was to hear his testimony.
He spent the day serving in the church in so many different ways, including translation.
A kind man who is fully devoted to loving the Japanese people and giving his service to the Lord.
We were all blessed today by this fellowship and able to stay in their quarters here as well.
Till tomorrow, we are wrapping things up the next few days.
Tonight, was the last concert for our 2023 trip to Japan.

Team Recap #10
(5/26/23) (Japan Time, we are 14 hrs. ahead CST)
Today was our first full rest day since last Saturday.
Most of the team went their own ways today.
Breakfast and devotional in the morning and the team enjoyed the day near/around Yokohama.
It was Mark & Pamela Couch’s anniversary so they enjoyed the day together exploring.
Jessie took a walk and then came back for around lunch.
All of us at the hotel went into our separate groups for lunch then Nori, Barbie, and Jessie went to explore some more of Yokohama.
I spent much of my day at the hotel resting, cleaning, and prepping for the weekend to come.
This evening most of the team reunited with Kenny DaSilva at his Rock & Roll Ramen shop in the area for some fellowship with him and some of the church family.
We have a big weekend ahead of us.
The rest day has been much needed for all.
