Come join us any Sunday! Tradition places this purchase at 1692. After Boyd’s death, William Tennent, Jr.

A little band of believers was exiled from the south of Scotland and sold into indentured servanthood to this part of Monmouth County in 1685. They purchased an acre of ground at "Free Hill" about five miles from the present sanctuary and built a tiny log church there. Under the leadership of Elder Walter Ker, by 1705 the congregation was aligned with the newly formed Philadelphia Presbytery and

sufficiently called a permanent pastor, John Boyd. led the small congregation as it grew and became a leader in the "Great Awakening." In 1731 the group purchased its first acre of ground on the current property known as "White Oak Hill" and erected a sanctuary. The current Georgian structure was completed in 1751 incorporating a gallery and much of the older house's '"fancy work." The congregation still worships in this current building today.

Pastor Robin is being installed on May 31 at 4 pm. We are forming a choir to sing two songs, Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone and Draw the Circle. Both songs can be found on YouTube. First practice is this coming Sunday, May 3 at 10:15 in the Sanctuary.
