We’re excited to be part of this wonderful community event!

We will be there with a tent representing our church, sharing information about who we are and what we offer, along with some fun activities for the kids.

On Sunday, July 26, First Congregational Church of Malone was honored to partner with The House of History to welcome the community for our Underground Railroad Tours.

Between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., Rev. John Werley led several guided tours through our historic church and basement, sharing the remarkable story of the Underground Railroad and the role our church played in this important chapter of history.

We were delighted to welcome 60 visitors throughout the afternoon who came to learn more about our church’s rich heritage. Guests also enjoyed cookies and refreshments provided by members of the congregation before the evening’s Fiddlers Concert.

Thank you to Rev. Werley for sharing his knowledge and passion for our local history, to The House of History for partnering with us, and to our wonderful volunteers who welcomed guests and provided hospitality.

We are also grateful to our photographers for capturing these special moments. We look forward to sharing more of our church’s history and welcoming you to future community events!

There’s something truly special about seeing our church through someone else’s eyes. This stunning sunset photograph captures the beauty of First Congregational Church of Malone in a way that reminds us of God’s light, hope, and the heart of our community.
