We are already preparing for our Easter Outreach Ministries and are excited for the opportunity to bless our community again this year.

Below is a list of organizations we will be supporting through our outreach efforts:

We have created an Amazon Wish List with items needed for these ministries. All items purchased through the list will be delivered directly to our home for distribution.

Are you looking for a family-friendly church to celebrate Easter?

You're invited to join the First Baptist Church of Malden and the Maplewood Baptist Church for two special, joint, family-friendly Easter Services on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. outside on the church lawn, there will be a multi-cultural Sunrise Service with several local churches, celebrating Jesus’ resurrection in their native languages, along with members from First Baptist and Maplewood Baptist. Then at 11:00 a.m., we’ll gather inside for the Easter Worship Service. First Baptist Church is located on the corner of Salem and Main streets.

“The resurrection story is the Bible’s invitation to trade in our present way of living for one more fulfilling, free, focused, and fortified!” said Pastor Gary McClenthen. “The apostle Paul put it this way: “We were dead and buried with him (Jesus)..., so that just as he was raised from the dead by that splendid Revelation of the Father’s power (the empty tomb) so we too might rise to life on a new plane altogether.” Maybe you’ve looked in many places for purpose and peace but have been left empty and needing more. May I encourage you to RSVP to God’s invitation to resurrection living. Join us on Easter Sunday to hear more.”

Hello Church Family,

We are collecting items for our upcoming outreach ministries for the end of March and Easter. I have attached the Amazon wishlist if you would like to help purchase items from the wishlist. You can buy items from the wishlist that will be sent directly to my home. Also, you may purchase like items from the store; just please let me know so we can take those items off the list. As always, cash or check donations are always accepted. The deadline for items to be delivered is Sunday, 4/6.

On a separate note, we need 18 $10 Dunkin' Donuts gift cards for the Warming Center. We need these cards by 3/29. Please let me know if you purchase a card so I can keep an accurate count.

Dear Friends,

Making a decision about whether or not to open the church building on Sunday, February 16, was challenging. On one hand, those that live nearby most likely could make it in, but for others, with the snow accumulation, followed by rain and a potential freeze after all of that, could put these at risk trying to drive in.

I hope soon that we will have sufficient Wi-Fi in the building to be able to both meet in person and offer some sort of live internet broadcast for those who can't make it in.

Having consulted with others in leadership, though, in the interest of safety, I have decided not to open the building but to offer worship via ZOOM tomorrow at 11.
