Happy 103 Anniversary of the First Flower Ceremony!

was held in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on June 4, 1923.

Rev. Norbert Čapek aimed to unite the diverse congregants of his church, including those from various Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish backgrounds, without alienating anyone.

The ritual was designed to celebrate the uniqueness of each individual, from their gardens, the field, or the roadside, and to create a unified community that embraced diversity.

Then hang around for the Squeaky Wheels Band (with Matthew Gilbert) at 1:00 pm
AND there will be Chinese music with social commentary at 3:00 pm.
