“If God forgave me, why am I still dealing with the consequences?”

That’s a question many people have wrestled with.

King David certainly did.

After one of the darkest chapters of his life, David received God’s forgiveness. Yet the effects of his choices did not simply disappear overnight.

What do we do when grace is real, forgiveness is complete, but scars remain?

This Sunday morning, we’ll continue our study of David with a lesson entitled:

📖 THE CONSEQUENCES OF FORGIVEN SIN
When Grace Doesn’t Remove Every Scar
(2 Samuel 12:13-25)

Join us as we explore how David responded to forgiveness, consequences, worship, and God’s continuing grace.

You are invited to worship with us this Sunday at the Malakoff Church of Christ.

What do you do when you've wandered farther than you ever thought you would?

The story of David reminds us that failure doesn't have to be the end of the story!

This Sunday, we'll be looking at one of the most powerful chapters in David's life, a chapter that reminds us of a God who refuses to give up on people.

A God who pursues.

A God who calls.

A God who welcomes people home.

Most spiritual collapse does not happen suddenly.

It begins quietly…
A drifting heart. Unchecked thoughts. Small compromises. Moments that seem harmless at first.

This Sunday morning we will continue our study through the life of David with a message from 2 Samuel 11:1–5:

🔥 WHEN THE HEART STARTS DRIFTING
“One Glance Can Change a Life”

This lesson is not simply about lust or one particular sin. It is about the subtle spiritual drift that can affect every heart if we stop guarding our walk with God.

Whether you are struggling, searching, growing, or simply needing encouragement, we would love for you to join us.

Most people think spiritual danger comes during hardship…

But what if one of the greatest spiritual dangers actually comes after victory?

This Sunday we continue our series through the life of David with a lesson from 2 Samuel 8: "The Danger of Success"

As David experiences victory after victory, Scripture quietly reminds us of a truth every heart needs to hear:

Success can bless us…but it can also test us.

Join us this Sunday as we explore:

Why blessings can sometimes weaken dependence on God,
How victory can slowly produce self-reliance,
Why David’s story still speaks powerfully to our lives today.

What happens when worship becomes routine instead of reverent?

This Sunday morning, we continue our series:
🔥 David: A Heart After God’s Own Heart 🔥

📖 This week’s lesson:

“When Worship Becomes Casual” (2 Samuel 6)

In a culture where everything is becoming more casual, even worship, Scripture reminds us that God is still holy, worship still matters, and reverence before Him should never disappear.

Join us as we examine one of the most sobering and powerful moments in David’s life and what it teaches us about:
• worship
• holiness
• reverence
• obedience
• and approaching God with humility

Have you ever been hurt… mistreated… or wronged, and finally had the chance to get even?

What happens in that moment reveals the heart.

This Sunday we’ll continue through the life of David with a lesson titled:

🔥 “When You Could Get Even” 🔥

From a cave in the wilderness to a decision that revealed David’s heart, we’ll look at what it truly means to trust God when anger, bitterness, and revenge try to take control.

Why do people respond so differently… to the same situation?

In 1 Samuel 17, an entire army stood still.
Same enemy. Same voice. Same fear.

But not the same response.

This Sunday, as we continue our series on David, we’re taking a different approach:

We’re not just looking at David…
we’re looking at the people around him and what their response to God reveals about their heart.

Saul saw limitations.
Israel felt fear.
But David saw something they didn’t.

“Faith When Others Fear”

This isn’t about a familiar story…
it’s about a deeper look at faith, fear, and how we see God.

If you’ve ever wondered why fear takes hold…
or what it really looks like to trust God…
this message is for you.

Come be encouraged. Come be challenged. Come grow.
