Philippians 3:1–11
Consider It All Joy: Be Watchful

Where are we putting our confidence?

Paul reminds us to rejoice in the Lord and to be watchful about what we allow to influence our faith. We live in a world filled with false teaching, false reasoning, and plenty of things telling us where to place our confidence. But our confidence belongs in Christ alone.

We don’t have to clean ourselves up before coming to Jesus. Come to Him, and let Jesus transform you. Our flesh will fail us, our accomplishments will fail us, and the things of this world will fail us. But Jesus never will.

Paul had plenty he could have pointed to as accomplishments, yet he counted it all as loss compared to knowing Christ. Our lives shouldn’t be about what we have accomplished, but about what Christ has accomplished through us.

Jesus is a gift. Accept it.
Know Christ.
Forget what is behind.
Reach forward for what Christ has ahead.
Put your faith and confidence in Jesus only.

There is joy in knowing Him!

If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, you can today. Confess your sin, turn to Him, and put your faith in Jesus. The same power that raised Christ from the grave is still at work today.

And if you’re looking for a church home, we invite you to join us next Sunday! Come as you are.
There’s a place for you at Lawing’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Serving Our Community with Love

What a wonderful evening at Balls Creek Camp Meeting!

We had a great time of fellowship while serving ice cream and connecting with people in our community.

More than just handing out a sweet treat, we wanted people to know that Lawing’s Chapel Baptist Church is here, we care about our community, and we are here to serve.

Every conversation, every smile, and every scoop of ice cream was an opportunity to show the love of Jesus.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to step outside the walls of our church and be the hands and feet of Jesus right where He has placed us.

What a blessing it is to serve!

Rain may have postponed the game, but it couldn't stop the fellowship!

Our church family enjoyed an evening together at the ballpark, and even though the game was called because of rain, we were thankful for the opportunity to laugh, visit, and spend time with one another.

Moments like these remind us that it's not always about the event, but about the people God has placed in our lives. We are grateful for a church family that enjoys doing life together.

If you're looking for a church where you can grow in your faith and build meaningful friendships, we'd love to welcome you to Lawing's Chapel Baptist Church.

Unified by the Gospel
Philippians 1:27–30

What unites us isn't our background, our preferences, or our circumstances. We are united by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This week's message challenged us in three important ways:

1. Live a life worthy of the Gospel.
Our conduct should reflect Christ in everything we do. Keep your eyes on Jesus and let Him direct your life. We are accountable for how we live, so let's strive together to honor Him. Be focused on God, not yourself. Be filled with His Spirit, stand on His Word, and extend grace to others.

2. Consider it a privilege to follow Christ.
Believing in Jesus is a privilege. Even when following Him brings hardship, we can remember what Christ endured for us on the cross. Serving Him is not a burden, but a blessing. What a privilege it is to be called a child of God!

3. Stay united.
As followers of Christ, we are called to stand together. The enemy wants division, but the Gospel calls us to unity. No matter what is happening around us, stay close to God and close to one another. God is most concerned about our relationship with Him.

The world desperately needs to see believers who are united, filled with grace, and living lives that point others to Jesus.

Invitation:
Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior? If not, today is the day. Turn from your sin, ask Jesus to come into your life, and place your faith in Him. He died for you, rose again, and offers forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who believes.

May we be a church that is truly unified by the Gospel.

We'd love to have you join us at Lawing's Chapel!

We're so thankful for what God is doing through our Edge Youth Ministry!

Our students recently enjoyed snowballs at Pelican's, followed by a pre-camp devotional as they began studying the life of Daniel. Together they're learning what it means to stand firm in their faith, trust God, and boldly follow Him.

As camp approaches, please join us in praying for our students and leaders.

Be sure to follow our Edge Youth page EDGE YOUTH LCBC to stay up to date on events, activities, and everything happening in our youth ministry!

What a great night of fun and fellowship!

We had an amazing turnout for our church bowling outing! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, friendly competition, and lots of laughter shared together.

Events like these remind us that church is more than a place we attend on Sundays. It's a family where we encourage one another, build friendships, and enjoy doing life together.

Thank you to everyone who came and made the evening so special. We love spending time with our church family and are already looking forward to our next outing!

Christ Is Life
Philippians 1:21–26

We often wait too long to start really living. The life God has called us to isn't found in chasing the things of this world. Real life is found in following Jesus.

Paul teaches us three important truths:

1. The Right Struggle
Life is full of struggles, but true joy comes from living for Christ. Paul was confident in his relationship with Jesus because he knew that living for Christ was the only way to truly live. We all face battles, but don't let sin pull you away from the One who gives lasting joy.

2. The Right Perspective
Paul desired to be with Jesus, yet he knew God still had a purpose for him on earth. He chose to stay and faithfully serve others by sharing the Gospel. Our lives are not just about us. They are about pointing others to Christ and serving Him wherever He places us.

3. The Right Choice
Paul was convinced that continuing to serve Christ was the right choice. The greatest decision anyone can make is to choose Jesus. Once you've made that decision, keep seeking Him. Open His Word, let it guide your life, and allow Jesus to be Lord over every area of your life.

The Bible is our roadmap, and Christ is our destination.

The question we all must answer is:

Is Christ your life?

Invitation:
If you've never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, today is the day. Turn from your sin, ask Him to come into your life, and place your faith in Him. He died for you, rose again, and offers forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who believes.

The right choice is choosing Jesus.

Consider It All Joy
Philippians 1:12–20

No matter what season of life we're in, we have a reason to keep our focus on the Gospel.

The Apostle Paul wrote these words while in prison, yet his greatest concern wasn't his circumstances. His desire was that the Gospel would continue to move forward.

That challenges us to ask ourselves:

What is our focus each day?

Live to advance the Gospel.
Our goal should always be to move the Gospel forward. Don't waste the calling God has placed on your life. Like Paul, we are called to share the hope of Jesus wherever God has us.

Don't be distracted by what others are doing.
It's easy to compare, worry, or become consumed with ourselves. Instead, keep your eyes on Christ. Share the Gospel. Show the Gospel. Trust God to take care of the rest.

Preach the Gospel no matter what.
Paul didn't stop because life became difficult. Even in prison, he faithfully preached Christ. The Gospel wasn't just something he spoke about—it was the way he lived.

The Gospel isn't just a message.
It's a lifestyle.

May we use our words, our actions, and our everyday lives to point people to Jesus and spread His love wherever we go.

Invitation:
Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
If not, today is the day!
Turn from your sin, ask Him to come into your life, and place your faith in Him. His grace is sufficient, His love never fails, and the gift of salvation is available to all who believe.

How can you help move the Gospel forward this week?
