Today we started a 6 week study in the Book of Habakkuk.

Habakkuk: A Journey of Faith
“Does God Care?”
Habakkuk 1:1–11

We all have questions.
Have you ever found yourself asking, “Does God really care?”
If God is so good, why is there so much suffering?

Habakkuk didn’t hide his questions—he brought them straight to the Lord.
He carried a burden… and he took it to God.

There are two parts we see here:
1) Habakkuk had a question
2) God had an answer

The Complaint:
There are times we feel like God doesn’t care.
We pray, and the answer doesn’t come as quickly as we hoped.
We ask, “How long, Lord?”
Sometimes it feels like God isn’t hearing us at all.

We try to do what’s right, yet it seems like wrong is winning.
We look around and wonder, “Does He not see?”

The Answer (vs. 5–11):
God cares—and He hears every cry.
He knows it all, even when we don’t understand.

God is working in the background, even when we can’t see it.
He calls us to look, to watch, and to trust.

God has a plan.
And if we could see the full picture, we might not even believe it.

His timing is not our timing—but He will deliver.
God does not ignore wrongdoing—He will deal with it.
Judgment is real, and it is coming.

But in His love, God gives us the opportunity to repent.
He sees everything, yet still offers grace.

The world today isn’t so different from back then—
but God is still the same.

Come to God. Trust Him.
Choose to see the good of God, even before you see the bad.

He sees you.
He hears you.
He cares.

It’s not up to us to fix everything or judge everything—
God will take care of that.

Take your struggles to Him.
Ask God—He will answer.

An Invitation:
If you’ve been questioning, doubting, or searching—bring it to God today.
And if you’ve never given your life to Him, don’t wait.
He sees you, He hears you, and He truly cares for you. Come to Him today.

Being Obedient to the Commands of Christ
Matthew 28:18–20

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave a clear command… not a suggestion, not an option… a calling for every believer.

Remember C A T

Command
We are called to make disciples.
It’s more than just coming to church or checking a box. It’s about living it out, building connections, and helping others grow in Christ.
Disciples make disciples. So the question is… what are we doing?

Assurance
Jesus has all authority, and He is with us always.
We don’t go alone. The Spirit leads us, strengthens us, and equips us.
You don’t have to be perfect… just willing and bold.

Task
Go. That’s the action word.
Go tell people about Jesus.
Go live it out.
Baptism is an act of obedience, but the mission doesn’t stop there.

Teach
We are called to teach His Word and share what Jesus has said.
Don’t let fear hold you back. Jesus will give you the confidence and the tools you need.

This isn’t just for “someone else”… this is for all of us.

So today, ask yourself…
What ARE we doing?

Invitation:
Jesus calls us not only to follow Him, but to fully surrender to Him.
If you’ve never given your life to Christ, today is the day. Come to Him, trust Him, and begin the life He has called you to live.

Let’s not just hear the command… let’s live it.

The Ultimate Love Expressed Luke 24:1–7

Today we celebrate the risen Christ! Because of His love, we have a reason to celebrate not just today… but every day.

Easter reminds us just how deep, how real, and how powerful the love of Jesus truly is. He didn’t just say He loved us… He showed it. He gave His life for us.

Love will lead to obedience
The women came early to the tomb, faithful and devoted. Real love for Jesus moves us to action.

Love can feel confusing
They didn’t understand at first. Sometimes we don’t either. We search for love in the wrong places, when the truth has already been given to us through Christ.

Love will raise you up
The tomb was empty… HE IS NOT HERE, HE IS RISEN!
That same power, that same love, still changes lives today.

Jesus endured the cross, the pain, the suffering… all for us. That is the ultimate love expressed.

So today, ask yourself…
Are you celebrating Easter for the right reason?
Is Jesus speaking to your heart?

Invitation:
Jesus loves you. He died for you. He rose again for you.
If you’ve never given your life to Him, today is the day. Don’t wait. Come to Jesus, receive His love, and let Him change your life forever.

He is risen… and because He lives, we have hope! 🙌

Sunday Recap: Love Enters

What an incredible Palm Sunday service as we kicked off Holy Week!

Today, we looked at Matthew 21:6-11 and reflected on the powerful truth that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, Love entered the city.
The crowds shouted "Hosanna!"—which means "Save us now!"
They recognized Him as royalty, our Savior from sin, sent by God because of His immense love for us, but the most important question we faced today wasn't just about Jesus entering a city 2,000 years ago... it’s about Him entering our lives today.

Let Love Enter You

Jesus knew He was going to the cross for us, yet He came anyway. He wants to be "the talk of the town" through the way we live our lives. When we let the love of Christ fill us, others can't help but see it!

A Call to Respond
If you’ve been feeling a tug on your heart, don't wait. Whether you have strayed away and need to re-dedicate your life, or you are ready to "do business with Jesus" for the very first time, the invitation is open:

Repent and Return: If you've wandered, come back to the one who loves you perfectly.

Commit Your Life: Jesus made His way to the cross to die for our sins so that we could have a relationship with Him.

Next Steps...
Are you ready to give your life to Jesus? We would love to walk beside you in this journey!
Comment "YES" below or send us a private message so we can pray with you.

Join us this week as we continue through Holy Week toward the miracle of Easter Sunday.

Share the love:
How can you let others see the love of Christ in you this week?

We wrapped up our study in Philemon today with a simple but powerful reminder:
Go ALL IN for Jesus!

Paul closes his letter pointing to what it really means to live as a believer. It’s not about just knowing right… it’s about living it out.

We are called to:
• Be faithful
• Do what is right
• Treat others as brothers and sisters in Christ
• Choose love over judgment
We’re not here to judge people… we’re here to love them, encourage them, and point them to Jesus.

We saw examples:
Some walked faithfully and supported the work of the Gospel
Some walked away and chose the world
Others went all in and gave everything to follow Christ
The question is…
👉 Which one are we?

God offers His grace freely,
but we have to choose to receive it… and then give that same grace to others.

Forgiveness. Grace. Faithfulness.
This is what real, everyday faith looks like.
Not just on Sunday… but in how we treat people, how we respond, and how we live.

This week’s challenge:
Go all in.
Show grace.
Do what’s right… even when it’s hard.

An Invitation
Have you experienced the grace of God in your own life?
God offers forgiveness and new life through Jesus.
You don’t have to carry your past or figure it out on your own.

If you’ve never trusted Him… today is the day.
Ask Jesus to be your Savior.
Follow Him. Go all in.
Amen

Today's Message – Forgiveness
Philemon vs. 8–21

Today we continued our study through the book of Philemon and looked at the powerful truth of forgiveness.

Forgiveness begins with our relationship with Christ. When we remember that Christ has forgiven us, it changes the way we treat others. If Christ can forgive us, then we can forgive others… no matter the situation.

In this passage, Paul makes a request of Philemon, reminding us that mature Christians forgive not because it is easy, but because Christ forgave us first.

True faith works to restore damaged relationships. Jesus can use anyone and redeem any situation for the glory of God.

Sometimes forgiveness requires us to step back and ask ourselves:
Am I doing what God wants… or what my flesh wants?
Forgiveness means: • Seeing the offender through the lens of the Gospel
• Addressing the hurt, then releasing it
• Choosing reconciliation over revenge
• Relying on God’s grace to forgive
• Not allowing bitterness to take root

Forgiveness is an act of obedience, not just a feeling.
We can choose to forgive and release people to Christ rather than holding on to grudges that damage our own hearts.

Philemon reminds us that forgiveness and reconciliation are not always the same, but as believers we are called to forgive and leave judgment to Christ.

People need to be received in Christ and encouraged to serve God. Every one of us needs Jesus, and we are called to show His love to others… because God first showed His love to us.

🙏 An Invitation to you...

Have you experienced the forgiveness that only Jesus can give?

The greatest act of forgiveness ever offered was when Jesus gave His life for us. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, today is the day to turn to Him.

Jesus will forgive your sin, change your life, and give you peace.

Have you accepted His forgiveness?

The Characteristics of a Person Who Forgives
Philemon 1–7

Forgiveness is not easy, but the book of Philemon gives us a picture of the kind of heart that is ready to forgive.

When we look at the life of Philemon, we see several qualities that prepare a believer to show grace to others.

A person who forgives…
1️⃣ Is committed to Christ.
Everything begins with a heart devoted to the Lord.

2️⃣ Labors for Christ.
They are not just hearers of the Word but workers in the service of God.

3️⃣ Leads their family in Christ.
Their faith influences their home and those closest to them.

4️⃣ Opens their home and life to others.
A willing heart that serves the church and welcomes people.

5️⃣ Depends on God’s grace.
We all need grace and peace. Through God’s grace we have hope in Jesus.

6️⃣ Lives in faith and love.
A forgiving heart is rooted in faith in Christ and love for people.

7️⃣ Serves and encourages others.
Forgiving people are not sitting still; they get up, serve, and refresh the hearts of others.

These are the kinds of qualities that shape a life ready to forgive. When we love God and love people, we reflect the heart of Christ.

But the greatest question is this:
Have you been saved?
Have you given your life to the Lord? Today can be the day you place your faith in Jesus Christ. Come to Him, trust Him, and experience the grace and forgiveness only He can give.

Have a blessed week!

Peace in the Storm
Psalm 29

In the middle of a storm, there is an “eye” — a place of peace. The Lord is our anchor in the storm. Even in the middle of chaos, we are called to give glory to God.

Everything starts with prayer. We must intentionally exalt and praise His name. Because of Christ, we can glorify Him no matter what we are facing.

God’s voice is powerful. He is greater than any storm. No matter what comes against us, God is bigger. He walks with us through it. When the winds rise, we must listen for His voice and trust Him.

When we take our eyes off Jesus, we begin to sink but when we fix our eyes on Him, we find peace.

Psalm 29 reminds us:
“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.”
That peace only comes from Jesus.

If you are walking through a storm, bring your burdens to the altar. Ask. Pray. Trust Him.

If you have never given your life to the Lord, today is the day of salvation. Don’t wait. Give your heart to Him and find the peace that only He can give.
