Last week we introduced our series on the book of Job. We learned about being a follower of Christ even when things don't go how we think they should go.

We learned about Satan telling God that Job is only following Him because Job has lots of wealth. God replies that Satan can take anything from Job except his life to see if that's the only reason Job follows God. Satan tested Job by destroying many things in Job's life.

Job was extremely upset, tearing his clothes and falling to the ground. He began to WORSHIP the Lord, saying that he knows the Lord gives and takes away.

Job was a true follower of Christ who had integrity. He knew that there was no value in Earthly things, only in our relationship with God. We have to walk by faith even when we don't understand what may be happening.

Our last Tuesday Summer Fun event was a pool day! 🌞 We had a blast with some pizza, ice cream, dive contests and fellowship! Peep our children's leader in a water gun fight 🔫 (maybe a fight for her life!😂) We are sad this summer is coming to an end but thankful for fun memories with the best kids!

Ps 34:8

In Psalm 34:1-7, David boasts about God. David is telling the reader (us) to experience God's goodness for themselves. This goodness could only come through a personal encounter. Taste and see for yourself!

We made homemade pop tarts to remind us that tasting is the best part of the baking!

Today we took the money from our VBS missions offering to buy items that Malorie's Place needs to stock their pantry. We toured Malorie's Place and learned how they work to help people in the Maiden community. These kids have the best heart and were so willing to buy things for those in need. 💙
