Get comfortable in bed. Rest your arms by your sides and close your eyes. Breathe in deeply through your nose. Hold it briefly, then breathe out through your mouth. Let any tension leave your body as you exhale.

Focus on the top of your head. As you breathe in, feel relaxation move down from your scalp and smooth your forehead. Soften your forehead muscles. Let this calmness move to your eyes, cheeks, and jaw. Relax your jaw and let your tongue rest.

With each breath, let calmness flow down your neck and relax your shoulders. Let them drop and release tension. Feel calm spread down your arms to your fingertips, making them heavy and relaxed.

Focus on your chest and back. Keep breathing slowly and deeply. Imagine your heart rate slowing and your chest feeling warm. Let this warmth spread through your torso, abdomen, hips, and legs.

As you breathe, relax your legs from thighs to feet. Your whole body is now heavy and at ease.

If thoughts come, notice them and let them drift away. Gently refocus on your breath and how comfortable your body feels.

Keep breathing slowly and deeply. Let your mind and body sink deeper into relaxation. There is nothing you need to do now. Rest and let yourself drift into sleep, feeling calm and safe.
