The Annual Italian American Club Mass of the Three Franciscans is a beautiful testament to enduring compassion, commitment, and hope. It was especially meaningful to hear the Mass celebrated in Italian, with songs that brought a deep sense of tradition and connection to our heritage.
A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Szymon for his continued support and inspiring words, which truly uplift and guide us. We are also deeply grateful to the Children’s Choir of Putnam Music Center and the members of St. John’s Contemporary Music Group for their wonderful musical accompaniment, adding warmth and spirit to this special celebration.
We are blessed to share in this cherished tradition each year.

Corpus Christi Sunday at St. John the Evangelist Church – June 7

Today was a truly grace-filled and beautiful day at our church. During this special feast of Corpus Christi, our parish celebrated with a vibrant Filipino Mass that united the community in faith and devotion.

The celebration continued with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament - an introspective moment inviting us into prayerful reflection and reverence. The procession around the chapel was especially heartfelt, showcasing our love for the Eucharist with honor and joy.

We also thank our Polish community for adorning the chapel with lovely flowers, enhancing the solemnity and joy of the occasion. It was especially meaningful to see children participating by receiving Holy Communion again, bringing innocence and faith to the day.

We are blessed to have such a strong, faith-filled community here in Mahopac. Your presence and participation enrich our parish in countless ways.

May Christ’s presence in the Eucharist continue to guide and strengthen us all.

Saturday, June 6 was a joyful day at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac as our children received their First Holy Communion. It was a beautiful and meaningful moment in their faith journey.

Congratulations to all of the children! We are grateful to their parents for their love and support, and to our dedicated teachers for preparing them so well. May God continue to bless our families and our parish community.

On Friday, June 5, we were honored to welcome a special guest to St. John the Evangelist Church - Bishop Edmund Whalen. On this beautiful occasion, our students received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Congratulations to all of our newly confirmed! We are deeply grateful to our Bishop, the families, and our CCD program - especially the director and teachers - for their guidance and support. God bless you all.

Our Lady of Life statue received a stunning renovation last week, expertly restored by professional Polish painters. The transformation is remarkable. We sincerely appreciate your generosity, support, and ongoing help for our parish.

Now, Our Lady of Life radiates renewed beauty and grace, serving as a symbol of inspiration and hope to everyone who visits.

On Saturday, May 30, St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac was filled with joy and grace as our children celebrated their First Holy Communion. It was a beautiful and reverent Mass, marking a special milestone in their faith journey.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each child who received this sacrament, and our sincere gratitude to their parents for their guidance, support, and commitment. A special thank you also goes to the teachers who prepared the children so thoughtfully and faithfully for this meaningful day.
