Dear Friends~ It is time to say farewell. This page will remain active through January 31st to allow all to look through and save these pictures, and to view the video of the service at the link below. The link to the WCIA Ch. 3 feature is in the comments.
We have deeply appreciated all your wonderful thoughts and memories you’ve shared on the various community pages. More stories were shared during this final service that highlighted the history and heritage of Shiloh UMC. For 173 years we were known as “the little church on the hill” as people drove by on Rt. 47. Some of our memorabilia can be seen at the Museum of the Grand Prairie, Mahomet, IL.
While this space may see new purpose, the Good News of Jesus Christ continues to live on in the lives of those who called Shiloh UMC ‘their church’ at some point in their lives. Thanks be to God!
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all, now and forever. Amen

Reminder that tomorrow, Dec. 28, will be our final worship service at 1 pm. (There will not be an 11 am service.) We expect the service to last about 1-1/2 hours as we will have our standard service followed by a deconsecration liturgy. Holy Communion will be served and all are invited to partake. There will be a brief time of sharing of Shiloh memories which can be continued during a time of fellowship with refreshments after the service.
Our mission is completed; we invite you to join us one last time.

*We invite all to join us during our final worship service on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 1 pm as we complete our mission as a United Methodist Church. This service will honor the 173 years of rich ministry and mission work of the congregation as well as deconsecrating the sanctuary. Refreshments will be served during a time of fellowship after the service.
*Our Christmas Eve service will held at 3 pm.

We have made the regrettable decision to cancel the in-person worship service tomorrow, (in Fisher, to which all Shiloh worshippers were invited), Nov. 30th, due to the winter storm. Pastor Susan will lead an abbreviated live-streamed service on Fisher United Methodist Church's page at 10 am and First United Methodist Church - Rantoul page at 8:30 am.
Please tune in for the 1st Sunday of Advent!

Shiloh United Methodist will complete its mission as a local United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 28th. While this congregation will disperse to different congregations, we know the impact Shiloh UMC has had on the lives of many will live on in their witness and participation in the mission of Jesus Christ. The final worship service will be Sunday, December 28th, at 1 pm. Light refreshments will follow.
Many items of the church will be offered for appropriate donations. We invite those interested to come to the church Fri, Dec. 12th, 1-4 pm and Sat., Dec. 13th, 10 am- 3 pm. The address is 352 CR 2700 N, Mahomet, IL 61853.

This Sunday, Oct. 26th, we are having one worship service with our sister churches at 10 am at Fisher UMC. Following this 30-minute service we will participate in our service project of packing meal bags for Midwest Mission. After the bag-packing we will have a sloppy joes lunch! We looking forward to seeing you in Fisher for this meaningful time of worship and service!
