Happy snowy and cold Sunday!
We will be cancelling worship service today. The parking lot of the church is inaccessible.
The annual meeting previously scheduled for today is moved to next Sunday, February 1.
Please stay home and warm.
Additionally, Ladies Night Out is cancelled on Monday evening.
If you’d like to take a few minutes this morning, please open your bibles and prayerfully read the readings for this week.
Isaiah 9.1-4; Psalm 27; 1 Corinthians 1:10-18; Matthew 4:12-25.
Think about these questions:
Are we better as God’s people walking together or apart? Does who we model our lives after matter?
When we think about Jesus, his call to the apostles, the places he went, and the people who came to him, were these people who had everything figured out?
What does it mean then for us that in our readings today, that God shows up in real places, to real people, with real problems?
Prayer of the Day:
Lord God, your lovingkindness always goes before us and follows after us. Summon us into your light, and direct our steps in the ways of goodness that come through the cross of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
