Last year’s food truck night was “too cold” and we hid out in trucks. This year is was too hot and we had to escape to Whataburger for some AC relief. What we lack in good weather we make up for in good people!
Tonight through the talking, laughing, and distractions we managed to make it through a lesson on community. We learned that church isn’t a weekly place you go or a collection of friend groups sitting next to each other but not WITH each other. Church is community, it’s unity, it’s the people you live life with, the people you go hang with, the people who show up for you.

Psalm 133:1 behold, how good and how pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity.

This little one paused on his walk this morning, captivated by two ducks gliding across the pond — no rush, no agenda, just quiet attention.

*"Be still, and know that I am God."* (Psalm 46:10)

How often do we walk right past the small, ordinary moments where God is inviting us to simply stop and notice? Maybe today, like this pup, we're called to pause — to watch, to wonder, and to remember that stillness is its own kind of prayer.

The Girl Scouts are amazing. Every couple of months they bring a 100 or so prepackaged bag for people who come to our doors in need. The thing that makes them special is the handwritten notes they contain encouraging the recipient to persevere. Thank you so much!! What are you doing to make a difference?
