CALLED BY THE KING. KINGDOM CITIZENSHIP.
"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ." -Philippians 3:20 (NIV)

According to Philippians 3:20, our true citizenship is in Heaven. While we live on Earth, we're actually representing Heaven. We're here to build bridges, foster peace, share the good news, and uphold the interests of our King. So, let's embrace our Kingdom citizenship, living as faithful ambassadors of our King, eagerly awaiting His return.

CALLED BY THE KING. THE CALL TO WORSHIP.
"Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." -Psalm 95:6 (NIV)

In Psalm 95:6, we are reminded of our true purpose: to bow down in worship, to kneel before the Lord our Maker. When we live in worship, honoring God in everything we do, our lives become a beautiful symphony that testifies of His goodness and love. We fulfill our calling not by asserting our independence, but by joyfully acknowledging our dependence on our Maker.

CALLED BY THE KING. DISCIPLESHIP.
And (Jesus) said to them, “...Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”
-Matthew 4:19 (NASB)

We have an invitation from Jesus that is not only deeply personal but also profoundly transformative. He urges us to follow Him, just as He once urged Simon Peter and Andrew on the shores of Galilee. It's a beckoning towards discipleship—a journey of learning from Him, imitating Him, and eventually becoming like Him. It implies leaving behind our former lives, and our familiar comfort zones, and venturing into the unknown with Jesus.

CREATING KINDNESS. JESUS CHRIST...OUR EXAMPLE.
"And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." (Ephesians 5:2 NIV)

This verse beautifully encapsulates the essence of ultimate kindness - the selfless love and sacrifice Jesus demonstrated throughout His life, and especially on the cross. He is our perfect example of kindness and following His lead can profoundly impact our lives and the lives of those around us.

CREATING KINDNESS. DAILY ACTIONS.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." (1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬5‬‬ NIV)

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. These words hold deep meaning for us today, particularly when it comes to our daily interactions.

CREATING KINDNESS. OPEN THE DOOR TO OPPORTUNITY.
Jesus said..."A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35‬‬ NIV)

It's no secret that we live in a world that is deeply divided, with hostility and hate often taking center stage. So how can we, as believers, respond? Love and kindness are at the heart of the Christian faith. When we choose to extend these virtues to others, even when it’s difficult, we have the power to transform lives, communities, and even nations.

CREATING KINDNESS. The Joy of Giving
Sometimes, the people who need kindness and love the most are the ones who are the hardest to love. But by showing grace and compassion, we can transform their lives and ours.
As it says in Proverbs 11:25, "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for the gift of kindness and the opportunity to share it with others. Please help me to be generous, compassionate, and open-hearted. Help me see the good in everyone and be willing to show kindness when it is most needed. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

CREATING KINDNESS. THE ART OF LISTENING.
"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry," (James 1:19 NIV)

We should seek to become better listeners in our daily life. Let us strive to be curious about the thoughts and experiences of others and show empathy even when we don't understand or agree. When we listen without judgment, we are giving the ultimate gift of kindness, putting others first!
