John Lockett, pastor with Bridgepointe Church appeared during last night’s meeting of the Magee Mayor and Board of Aldermen with a request from the church’s outreach team, The Prayer Warriors. They are hosting a Father's Day Back to School Gas Giveaway.

The plan is to distribute $1,000 of gas until it is gone at the Shell Gas Station at 230 Raleigh Dr. and collect school supplies at the same time. The event will take place Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. School supplies will be collected and given away before school begins in the fall.
