Pastor’s Message Today:

Point 1

No one knew the Holy Spirit more intimately than Jesus.

Point 2

The Holy Spirit is seen with Jesus in CREATION. Colossians 1:14-17; Hebrews 1:2; Genesis 1:1-3.

Point 3

The Holy Spirit was involved in Jesus’ VIRGIN BIRTH. Luke 1:34,35, 38.

Point 4

The Holy Spirit came upon Jesus at His BAPTISM. Matthew 3:16,17.

Point 5

The Holy Spirit empowered Jesus for MINISTRY. Luke 4:14, 18,19; Acts 10:38.

Point 6

Jesus made His sacrifice and offering for us THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Hebrews 9:14.

Point 7

The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the DEAD. Romans 8:11.

Point 8

ROADBLOCKS TO SPEAKING IN TONGUES:

1. Thinking one is making it up.
2. Previous teachings against the infill of the Holy Spirit.
3. Being shy in receiving in a public setting.
4. Feeling like one has to scream, roll on the floor, shout, holler, physically jerk, and shake to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
5. Not being too impressed with the mediocre lives of those who speak with tongues.
6. Not fully understanding, necessity or benefits to speaking in tongues.
7. Finding it difficult to understand why something the human mind cannot understand the tongue can speak.

Point 9

7 Functions of The Holy Spirit:

1. Comforter. Acts 9:31. John 14:17, 18.
2. Counselor. Acts 15:28
3. Helper.Romans 8:26.
4. Intercessor. Romans 8:26
5. Advocate.Acts 4:8-12.
6. Strengthener. Ephesians 3:16
7. Standby. The Holy Spirit is on standby to do ALL THESE THINGS AND MORE FOR YOU.
