Question: Does Faith Arena promote physical exercise for health?

Answer: Absolutely!!!

Bishop Rick Renner teaches:

“For bodily exercise profiteth little….” 1 Timothy 4:8. The word “exercise” was translated from the Greek Word, GUNNADZO, and is a word that portrayed naked athletes who exercised, trained and prepared for competition in the athletic games of the ancient world. Stripping down to bare skin was considered essential for shedding any barriers that might disrupt an athlete’s fluidity of motion. We DON’T recommend you try this at your gym today. It does show that the act of disrobing signified a commitment to casting off
every obstacle and dedicating oneself WHOLEHEARTEDLY to the discipline of athlete rigor.

The term “exercise”here extends far beyond a casual round of sit-ups; it evokes an image of someone fully immersing themselves into the strenuous, all consuming pursuit of physical mastery. 

The word “little” is derived from the Greek word ALIGOS, which here means small in number. However, in this context, it more accurately conveys the idea of something that is short-lived. Paul employed this term to emphasize the transit nature of physical fitness – it benefits us only there in our earthly existence. 

But Paul acknowledged its value when he said that exercise “profiteth.” This word, from the Greek OPHELIMOS, signifies what is advantageous, beneficial, or profitable. Thus, Paul underscores that physical activity offers real benefits, even if they are temporary.

Question: Does Faith Arena Church believe in GOING TO THE DOCTOR?

Answer: YES, maybe more than some are comfortable with us promoting because we don’t just promote going to the doctor if you’re sick, but go to get check ups every 6 months to a year. Pastor Richard promotes getting your 1. APO B, 2. Fasting Insulin 3. DHA Sulfate, 4. High Sensitivity CRP 5. Testosterone and 6. Homocysteine checked every year. These tests can actually mean the difference between life and death. They measure your cardiovascular, metabolic and cognitive functions.

THE BIBLE: Matthew 9:12; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:31, Jesus said, “The sick need a doctor.”

In Colossians 4:14, Paul called Luke “the beloved physician.” Luke traveled with Paul and we’re sure he helped look after his health.

The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34 is seen visiting many physicians in Israel and God did NOT CONDEMN HER OR THEM FOR USING MEDICAL MEANS TO CURE HER. It doesn’t say that they didn’t want her well, but that they couldn’t make her whole. They must have tried. Like Luke, I believe they are “beloved physicians.”

2 Chronicles 16:12 and 13 warn, “And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians. And Asa DIED….” Asa didn’t die because he went to the doctors, but because he didn’t go to the Lord. Go to the doctor, but remember, God is the source of your health. He is YOUR HEALER. Keep your faith in God strong and high as you go to the doctors. Remember, the doctor dresses the wound, but God heals it.
