🌟 NEXTGEN VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: ASHLEY STEELE
This week, we’re excited to recognize Ashley Steele, who serves as our 2- and 3-year-old Sunday School teacher, helps in the nursery, and also serves on our Youth Committee!
What is your favorite part about serving?
“Watching the children get excited about the Bible story and Jesus. Watching their eyes light up when they talk about Jesus. Getting to know the children alongside their parents.”
How has serving impacted you personally?
“It is inspires me to study the word because if a 2 Year old can talk about Jesus so can I. I need to study the word to better serve the children.”
What would you say to someone thinking about serving?
“I swore I wasn’t a teacher, there was no way I could know enough about the word to teach it and The Lord basically pushed me and handed me a class of precious babies to love on and to tell about Jesus. I can’t imagine my life without my class of babies to love on. I help in the nursery to get to know them from birth and then I have the privilege to teach them once they hit 2. If you think you can’t do, believe me you can, it will change your life way more than you will ever change their life. It’s just life changing.”
