Our group collected donations for the summer food program to feed kids and their families during the summer months. Regina Warfel and I presented checks to The Good Shepherd and Monroe County Family Resource Center. Each group received a check for $925. What a wonderful blessing for our county. Way to go, ladies!

Five of our UWF members visited Wesley House in Knoxville on Saturday. This facility is one of three National Mission Institutions in TN. I was so impressed with the services they provide their community! They offer after school care for the Lonsdale, Mechanicsville, and Beaumont neighborhoods, a food pantry, and activities for seniors. The renovated building was such an inviting space and the staff were very knowledgeable. About 43 women attended from the Smoky Mountain District and the TN Valley District. We all brought donations of snacks and clothing for the kids. If you get the opportunity to go, it will be worth your time!
