What a beautiful building decommissioning service! Led by the Reverends Rachel Bauman and Andrew Warner from the Wisconsin Conference UCC, Lake Edge had its final service in the building at 4200 Buckeye Rd in Madison. We baptized the great-granddaughter of a founding member, served communion, and sang favorite songs. We also honored the building, past and present members and pastors, and the ministries that served our neighborhood and places across the world. This church building has served our congregation well for 77 years, but it is too big for us now, so we are selling and looking forward to planning new ministries as a smaller and more flexible community of faith. While we take some time to discern our next steps, please join us in worship with our friends at Common Grace, 9:30am on Sundays, at 3565 Tulane Ave, Madison. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the December 24th Joint Christmas Eve Service with Lake Edge and Christ the Solid Rock will be held at 4:00pm, NOT at 6:30pm as previously announced. We hope you and your loved ones are able to join our covenant churches to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

We will celebrate the life of our beloved member and friend Joyce Bethke on Saturday, March 18, in the Lake Edge UCC, part of Alliance@4200, 4200 Buckeye Road.
