EARTHLY KINGDOMS BECOME DUST.

Babylon fell. Persia fell. Greece fell. Rome fell.
Every empire cracks. Every ruler dies. Every earthly kingdom eventually turns to dust.

But Daniel saw something different.
Not another empire rising to power.
Not another king building a throne.
A stone. “Cut out, but not by human hands.”

The stone shattered the statue and became a mountain that filled the whole earth.

Jesus didn’t come to improve Babylon. He came to establish a different Kingdom.

The stone the builders rejected became the cornerstone. And while the kingdoms of this world continue to shake, the Kingdom of God is still advancing TO THIS DAY.

Our hope is not in politics.
Not in money.
Not in influence or cultural power.
Our hope is in the Kingdom that will never fall.

So don’t build your life on statues already turning to dust.
Build your life on the Rock that stands forever.

Today, we walked through Daniel 2 and were reminded of a truth we all need to hear:

You can have power… and still have no peace.

King Nebuchadnezzar had everything the world says should satisfy a person: influence, wealth, authority, success. Yet he still laid awake at night restless and troubled. Why? Because peace was never meant to come from earthly kingdoms, achievements, or control.

And honestly… not much has changed.

We still chase things hoping they’ll finally make us feel settled:
the house, the success, the relationship, the money, the influence, the perfect life.

But every earthly kingdom eventually turns to dust.

Daniel reminded us that while human wisdom has limits, God is the revealer of truth. While the kingdoms of this world rise and fall, the Kingdom of God stands forever.

The stone outlasts the statue.
Jesus didn’t come to improve Babylon. He came to establish a different Kingdom.

So the question is:
What kingdom are you building your life on?

How do we live with conviction and not isolate?
It takes courage.
It takes knowing who you are in Christ.
And it takes raising kids who know who they are in Christ.

Jesus never called us to build towers to keep people out.
He called us to become beacons of hope that invite people in.

May our homes become places of grace, truth, healing, and refuge for people who need hope.
Not isolation. Not fear. Not superiority.

Because somebody made room for us once too.

Baptism is more than just water. It’s a public declaration of a life changed by Jesus.

It’s leaving the old behind and stepping into the new.
It’s obedience.
It’s freedom.
It’s a testimony of God’s grace and transformation.

Every story matters, and every baptism is proof that Jesus is still changing lives.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
