There is freedom on the other side of surrender. When we stop carrying what Jesus is asking us to release, we make room to walk in the freedom He has already given us.

We don’t have to keep carrying yesterday when Jesus is offering us something new today.

LOVE CALLS US TO A GREATER IMPACT.

But greater impact requires us to get off the judgment seat that belongs to God.

When we spend our energy judging people, we miss opportunities to love them. We were never called to decide who is worthy of grace, mercy, or redemption. We’re called to extend the same love we’ve received.

Love doesn’t ignore truth.
Love just refuses to make itself the judge.

Get off the judgment seat.
Get back into relationship.
Love people well.

We are officially 8 DAYS AWAY from our Fall Block Party, and we are getting SO excited to spend the morning with our community!

We’ve got an amazing lineup of vendors, games, inflatables, food, and plenty of fun planned. It’s going to be a great morning, and we can’t wait to see you there!

WE LOSE THE ABILITY TO BE IN RELATIONSHIP WHEN WE BEGIN MAKING FINAL JUDGMENTS ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE.

When we decide we know someone’s heart, their motives, or their story, we stop leaving room for grace.

We forget that we only see a part of the picture.

We are called to speak truth, but we are not called to play God in someone else’s story.

Leave room for grace. Leave room for growth. Leave room for redemption.

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

PEOPLE LOOK AT THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE, BUT GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART.

We spend so much time managing what people can see, but God sees what’s underneath it all.

When Samuel was looking for Israel’s next king, God reminded him:

“People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

David wasn’t the obvious choice. He wasn’t even in the room when Samuel first arrived. But God saw something in David that everyone else overlooked.

The question isn’t, “What do people see when they look at me?”

It’s, “What does God see when He looks at my heart?”

We spend so much energy managing what people can see while God is looking at what they can’t.

What does God see beneath the title, the success, the smile, and the version of ourselves we work so hard to present?

CHARACTER MATTERS MOST WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING.

David wasn’t even considered when Samuel came looking for the next king. His own father didn’t bring him in from the field. But while others overlooked him, GOD SAW HIM.

Your calling is not contingent on other people recognizing you. You don’t need their applause for God’s purpose to be on your life.

God sees what people don’t.

“The Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

If you know Nate, you know he loves having his office decorated. So we figured we would bring fall to him a little early. 👀

Our Fall Block Party is coming up, and we are SO excited! We can’t wait to gather together, enjoy some fall fun, and celebrate with our community!

As for Nate, when you see this…we were just so excited we couldn’t wait any longer. We missed you! Hope you love it, buddy. 😂
