SUNDAY IS WHERE WE GATHER. BUT MONDAY IS WHERE THE MISSION BEGINS.

Jesus didn’t just do ministry inside the synagogue. He met people in the streets, in their homes, along the road, and in the middle of their everyday lives. In the book of Acts, the Gospel continued to spread beyond the temple courts and into the world.

And that same mission continues today.

Church isn’t just a place we come to on Sunday. It’s who we are when we leave. It’s how we love our neighbors, serve our coworkers, show compassion to strangers, and carry the hope of Jesus into the places we go every day.

The mission doesn’t end when the service is over. That’s where it begins.

We get the see that even this weekend as we go through Hope For! Thats something to celebrate!

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19

You can either pray or you can worry but you can’t do both.

There are so many things in our life that worry us, stress us, and keep us up at night. What would it look like to pray about those things before we complained about them? What could that do to our hearts? I bet we would start to see some miracles take place.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
- Philippians 4:6

We asked our Vertical Fam what they took away from our Welcome Home series, and their responses were full of encouragement, wisdom, and reminders of what God is doing in our church family. We just had to share them with y’all!

Now, we’re excited to see what God has in store for us through our new Monday Miracles series! We can’t wait to worship, learn, and grow together this Sunday.

See you Sunday, Vertical Fam! We’ll save you a seat!

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
‭‭- Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭42‬-‭47‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We don’t know how to finish the feeling. So we suppress it. We run to distractions, reach for anything that will numb the pain, and try to escape what we don’t know how to process.

But Jesus doesn’t run from our pain. He steps into it.

He weeps with the grieving. He sits in the devastation. He meets us in the middle of our hurt.

Jesus never asks us to pretend the pain isn’t there. He invites us to bring it to Him.

FEEL THE PAIN. SIT IN THE DEVASTATION. LET JESUS MEET YOU THERE. AND TRUST HIM TO BRING HEALING.

You don’t have to numb what Jesus is willing to walk through with you.

“Jesus wept.” — John 11:35
