LOPPW and the ELCA have resources to help congregations and individuals plan nonpartisan civic engagement activities. There are many things you can do - from posting information about when and how to vote to organizing outreach in your community.

This morning, we received reports of ICE presence in and around The Meadows Apartments on Milwaukee St. We have verified the information, and there are two confirmed directed detentions.

We ask the community to remain calm, know your rights, and stay alert. Do not open the door without a judicial warrant signed by a judge.

We will continue monitoring the situation and sharing updates as we are able to confirm more information. Stay connected and take care of one another.
