Merry Christmas from us to you! It brings us great joy to work alongside you, announcing the good news of Jesus to the world every day.

Thank you for sharing your light with us and the people in your life “so that the grace bestowed in abundance on more and more people may cause the thanksgiving to overflow for the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 4:15).

May the light of Christ, which enlightens everyone, shine in your heart today and always.

Today we’re grateful for the people who live the mission every day. Parents praying with their kids. Priests walking with someone who needs hope. Friends gathering to grow in faith. These are the real moments that build disciples and change lives.

Your Giving Tuesday gift helps form more people like them in prayer, community, and mission. It makes space for real encounters with Jesus and gives everyday Catholics the confidence to share his love in simple, steady ways.

If you’re able, join us in supporting this work. Your gift matters more than you know.

October 1 | Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux 🌸

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the “Little Flower,” is known for her simple but profound “little way.” She believed that everyday acts of love done with joy and humility could change the world. For her, holiness wasn’t about doing something grand and heroic; it was about doing small things with great love.

At Evangelical Catholic, St. Thérèse represents our core value of Fun. We celebrate her not only as a model of deep prayer, but also as someone who lived community with warmth, humor, and joy. She laughed often, loved deeply, and didn’t take herself too seriously. Her sense of fun flowed from her trust in God’s goodness. And her missionary heart reminds us that even though she never left her convent, her prayers and witness touched the whole world.

Her life challenges us: What if our joy could draw others to Christ? What if our everyday kindness could become an act of mission?

💬 Try it: What’s one small act of love you can do today to point someone to Jesus?

✨ What does it mean to live luminous? ✨

Andrea here. I can’t wait to be with you at the Luminous Conference on October 4 in Stow, Ohio. I’ll be sharing about how we can set our hearts on Christ in a way that helps us shine by radiating His love, goodness, and beauty into the world.

Even when life feels heavy or distracting, we have hope in Jesus. When we turn to Him, He fills us with light; and that light is meant to spill over into our families, friendships, and neighborhoods.

I’d love for you to join me as we dig into the habits of living luminous together. Don’t wait—register now and come be part of this day of prayer, community, and mission.

🙌 See you October 4!

Let's welcome Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati to the Big S Saint Club!

What can we learn from these two young men of our time? Carlo reminds us that prayer is the heartbeat of mission. His love for the Eucharist fueled his creativity and inspired him to use technology to share the Gospel. Pier Giorgio shows us how faith flourishes in community: his friendships, joy, and service to the poor continue to inspire people to live abundantly with courage and generosity.

Together, they prove that holiness isn’t reserved for the past. It’s alive and possible today—in classrooms, workplaces, friendships, and even online.

Which of these new saints speaks most to you right now? Tell us in the comments!

A mother who never stopped praying. A son whose life was turned around.

St. Monica prayed for her son Augustine for years, and years, and years. Can you imagine praying through that worry, frustration, and heartbreak? Yet she kept showing up to God on his behalf, even when nothing seemed to change.

And when Augustine finally encountered Christ, he found a love bigger than his doubts, his past, and his mistakes. Through mercy, patience, and prayer, his heart was transformed—and he went on to share that love with the world.

Together, their story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of grace, and that prayer—especially for someone we love—can open the door for God to work in ways we could never imagine.

Who are you praying for today? Keep going. God’s not done yet.

There are no words of consolation that will satisfy today. Instead, let us stand vigil, not look away, and weep with the people of Annunciation Catholic Church.

We are praying for the children and families affected and for miracles of healing and hope in the wake of such terrible violence.

Come, Lord Jesus. Grant us your peace.

Today we celebrate the Assumption: Mary's life is a sign that God is faithful to his promises.

Her life calls us to draw ever closer to Jesus in everything we do. To become people of prayer who don’t shy away from truth. To build communities that lead each other to heaven. To step into the mission of helping others encounter God’s love.

Mary, pray for us! Help us follow Jesus with your same open, gracious heart.

July 22 is the feast of St. Mary Magdalene.

Mary loved Jesus with everything she had. She stayed when others ran. She was the first at the tomb and the first to share the news of his rising.

She reminds us that our brokenness doesn’t render us inadequate disciples. It actually qualifies us to be witnesses of Jesus’ great love for us.

Mary Magdalene told the disciples, “I have seen the Lord.”

To whom can you share a timely word of Jesus’ love?

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: a heart burning with love for you. ❤️‍🔥

His heart calls us to pray deeply, love boldly, and live on mission. Let His love shape your heart at home, at work, and in the world.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, make our hearts more like yours!

St. Joseph, pray for all fathers, biological and spiritual! 🙏

On this Trinity Sunday and Father’s Day, we’re reminded that God is a perfect communion of love—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. A good father mirrors this divine life: giving, guiding, and sacrificing with patience and love. He speaks truth like the Father, walks with compassion like the Son, and strengthens like the Spirit. Today we honor all fathers—and all men who reflect the Father’s heart. May they be strengthened to love boldly, lead gently, and walk in the unity of the Trinity.
