We have several new trees, freshly planted at Covenant as part of our parking lot project. Thank you to the parking lot team for their perseverance and hard work, and thank you to everyone who has contributed to and prayed for this project. We’re almost done! 

And with providential serendipity, both last Sunday and this coming Sunday’s worship service focus on trees. 

“On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”

Last Sunday, we had a "reverse offering" at Covenant. Everyone present was given a ten dollar bill and encouraged to use it as a blessing to someone else. This offering was possible because of the generosity of a Covenant family.

If you were here, we'd like to hear what you did with your $10. Here are some initial reports:

Several people have bought school supplies for Glenn Stephens Elementary School.

One Covenant member shared: "I gave God's $10 to a man who is traveling and ran out of money. He was a friendly guy just sitting on the curb with his duffle bag. He made eye contact with me and gave a brief wave. Impulsively I reached in my pocket and pulled out the $10. He was surprised and so grateful."

One member gave $10 to support a family dealing with grief.

Another Covenant member shared: "I was at Woodman’s on Sunday afternoon and a young couple with 2 small children was behind me in line with a big cart of groceries. As I was checking out I handed the $10 to the checker and asked to 'pay it forward.' He looked at me a little stunned, but it went to the right place! And maybe this will help me get to the point of doing this more often and thinking intentionally about it … ”

Another Covenant member was inspired by the generosity of the offering and so they contributed $500 to our Good Samaritan Fund, which helps people with rent, utilities, food, etc.

And another member shared: "Big thanks to the inspiring donor. Love Grows, as they say!"

Girls Rock Camp has 50 campers learning all sorts of music this week, including this gospel classic. Thanks for sharing GRC! (And when they sang and shared it, they did NOT know that Pastor Charlie ended the service on Sunday with a clip from SINNERS with "Preacherboy" singing "This LIttle Light of Mine."
