But God Ministries is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, that shares the love of Jesus Christ through building sustainable communities around the world. We are currently working in the communities of Galette Chambon and Thoman, Haiti, and Jonestown, MS. We operate in certain areas or SPHERES. These areas include:
S - Spiritual. We share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worshi

p services, Bible studies, activities for children, and one-on-one witnessing at our medical-dental clinics and around the villages. We seek to meet physical needs through our medical clinic and dental clinics. The clinics in Haiti are operated by our full-time American Medical Directors. In addition, we host medical-dental teams from America for week-long visits. H - H20. We have dug several water wells and pipes to houses in Galette Chambon. Jonestown has a new water system. E - Education. We currently sponsor hundreds of children in local schools in Haiti. In Jonestown we work with children in the local schools. R - Roofs. We have built many many houses for people in Haiti. E - Economic development. We have created dozens and dozens of full-time and part-time jobs in Haiti. Job training and job creation are top priorities. In Jonestown we will work with local business owners and help others start businesses. S - Soil. We work with the communities on agricultural needs. The Hope Centers are the headquarters of But God Ministries in all locations from which all ministry takes place. The Hope Center includes:
- Medical clinics and dental clinics (Haiti)
- Air-conditioned dorms for visiting American teams
- Kitchen/showers/bathrooms
- Missionary houses (Haiti) for American nurses and families

We host many American teams throughout the year. These teams engage in many projects and activities that revolve around our SPHERES.

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IN HAITI!! 🇭🇹
Teachers are in place, backpacks are being given out, food is being served, textbooks are being distributed, and the whole community is abuzz with excitement.

Hope Center, Galette Chambon, Haiti......This is a place where HOPE is found.

When God called But God Ministries to begin building a sustainable community in Galette Chambon, Haiti, the country had just been through the most horrific natural disaster in their history. Haiti had been rocked and physically torn to pieces from a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that took the lives of approximately 200,000 people. The country was devastated, afraid, and living in deplorable conditions while they tried to rebuild their lives. BUT GOD..... God gave But God Ministries a vision of building a sustainable community, and we began by building Hope Center, a clinic, and over 50 houses for people who had lost their homes in the earthquake. The vision soon expanded to building a church and schools and more houses. Over the next 8 years, God sent teams to come help build the vision and encourage the people through the Hope of Jesus, and His vision began to take shape.

Now, 15 years later, BGM has built over 300 homes in the village, educated thousands of children, preached the gospel to countless individuals, fed thousands, brought healthcare to over 25,000 residents annually in and around Galette Chambon, and trained up local leadership that sustains it all. We had no idea where the first vision would take us, but through faith and many hands, God has not only provided community and Hope to this village, but He has joined the village with hundreds of individuals in the US who continue to pray for and support the work that He continues to do towards sustainability. We are so thankful that God entrusted us to be a part of this great work. And the vision continues.....

As we prepare to start a new year in school, sponsored students have been receiving their uniforms. Some of them are getting a big surprise! Their sponsor sent them a GIFT of an extra uniform!

This is a HUGE gift considering most students only have one uniform to wear the entire year. They have to wash their uniform and hang it up to air dry every evening in preparation for the next day. This causes a great deal of wear and tear on the uniform, and many end up having to have an extra one made because their first one wears out. Having a new uniform made is a difficult and expensive burden placed on a family, and when they can't afford it, the child simply must wear their tattered uniform to school and hope it lasts until school is out.

That's why when a sponsor orders an additional uniform for their child, it's a fantastic gift! In years past, we could send gifts over to our sponsor children, but that hasn't been possible for about 5 years. We have tried to be creative in how we can gift students without shipping things, and this is one gift that makes everyone smile! The tailors write "Kado BGM Sponsor" on the outside of the package it comes in so that the student knows that it is an extra gift.

Over the past few weeks, parents have been pouring into the BGM School's offices to register their children for school. The BGM schools in Galette Chambon are in high demand, and space in each classroom is limited, so parents come to reserve their child's place weeks before school starts. Many of these parents get there and get a surprise - an unexpected BLESSING from God - when they find out that over the summer, someone chose to sponsor their child in school. This means they will receive a uniform, T-shirt, books, and a backpack with supplies before the school year begins! What an amazing gift!

Sponsorship is vital to this community because most parents cannot afford to pay tuition for school, but they will register their child, pay the registration fee, set up payments over the course of the year, and pray that at some point their child gets a sponsor so they no longer question whether their child will be able to continue school.
