But God Ministries is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, that shares the love of Jesus Christ through building sustainable communities around the world. We are currently working in the communities of Galette Chambon and Thoman, Haiti, and Jonestown, MS. We operate in certain areas or SPHERES. These areas include:
S - Spiritual. We share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worship services, Bible studies, activities for children, and one-on-one witnessing at our medical-dental clinics and around the villages. We seek to meet physical needs through our medical clinic and dental clinics. The clinics in Haiti are operated by our full-time American Medical Directors. In addition, we host medical-dental teams from America for week-long visits. H - H20. We have dug several water wells and pipes to houses in Galette Chambon. Jonestown has a new water system. E - Education. We currently sponsor hundreds of children in local schools in Haiti. In Jonestown we work with children in the local schools. R - Roofs. We have built many many houses for people in Haiti. E - Economic development. We have created dozens and dozens of full-time and part-time jobs in Haiti. Job training and job creation are top priorities. In Jonestown we will work with local business owners and help others start businesses. S - Soil. We work with the communities on agricultural needs. The Hope Centers are the headquarters of But God Ministries in all locations from which all ministry takes place. The Hope Center includes:
- Medical clinics and dental clinics (Haiti)
- Air-conditioned dorms for visiting American teams
- Kitchen/showers/bathrooms
- Missionary houses (Haiti) for American nurses and families

We host many American teams throughout the year. These teams engage in many projects and activities that revolve around our SPHERES.

Fourteen years ago, a vision was born: to empower Haiti's future through education. Today, we proudly support four thriving villages, five vibrant schools, and over 2000 students. Over those years, God has moved and inspired ministries that would guide and support these communities to grow and thrive for generations to come.

The vision began with SPONSORSHIP. Through child sponsorship, we have been able to build and grow these schools to become some of the most respected schools in West Haiti. It has been an absolute miracle in the making and we are so thankful for the many sponsors out there who have joined us in these efforts through sponsorship. It has truly blessed tens of thousands of lives!

Over the years, the costs of food, transportation, fuel, water, supplies, etc. have increased dramatically, and yet we have kept the cost of sponsorship the same for over ten years. Currently, our enrollment well exceeds 2000 children, but we only have sponsors for about half of them. We are seeking sponsors to join our mission and help us bridge the gap. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act."

This is what is happening at our Hope Center Clinic in Thoman EVERY DAY. Not only are patients receiving health care from professionals who are completely dedicated to giving their all to the Lord, but they are also participating in uplifting praise, worship, and devotional time from our clinic pastor as well as informational lectures from our amazing nursing staff.

Our staff believes that God has called us to not only minister to people's physical needs through medicine, but also minister to their spiritual needs and educational needs. We are so blessed to have a staff that loves the Lord as much as they love their work. It's not just a job, it's a CALLING, and they are committed to serving the people while trusting God to provide, heal, and move in their lives. God is so good!!

Professional school students working hard in the classroom to learn valuable skills!

Every weekend, students pour in through the doors to attend our BGM Professional School. They learn skills such as electricity, plumbing, laying tile, cosmetology, and technology. God gave us a vision of building a sustainable community, and part of that vision involves training people valuable skills and trades that will equip people to be able to earn a living. We praise God daily for making a way to continue our professional school!

Yes, we know it's Saturday, but since we have no doubt that these beautiful blessings are missing school and are looking forward to Monday, we decided to recognize them TODAY! The fact that children in and around Galette Chambon are able to start school at age 3 and continue on through graduation from high school is an ABSOLUTE MIRACLE!! This is how God plans to turn Galette Chambon into a sustainable community - through education.

As a matter of fact, we already have numerous teachers in our school system who graduated from BGM High School and they are now working and giving back to their community in numerous ways. Perhaps one day, these sweet girls will see their dreams come true as well and will invest back into their community!

Please pray for these and all the hundreds of other students throughout Haiti who are working so hard to build their future to a vibrant and prosperous Haiti.

This is a story of sustainability.

In 2015, we delivered twins during a long night of labor. Henry, the father of the twins, was giddy over these beautiful blessings from God. We noticed that he could speak some English, so we asked him if he was taking classes. He said that he had been going to a school, but he could no longer afford the transportation to the class. So he began to come to our free ESL classes. One day we noticed this long stick in his hand and we asked him about it. He said it was a measuring stick and that he was a tailor. Two years later, he was living in a new house behind Hope Center and had started a business as a tailor making uniforms for our sponsored students. We prayed Psalm 90:17 over him: "May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands." His business has succeeded.

Now, Henry has been making our uniforms for almost ten years. Every year he makes over 600 uniforms for BGM students, and his business has grown tremendously. He employs a number of people and his brother helps him with the business.

This year, Henry decided to give back to the school that he grew up in. Belle Fontaine is a small, poor village high up in the mountains. They do their best to provide education for the children, but resources are limited. As a successful businessman, Henry was able to purchase supplies for all of the children in the school. This week, the administrators distributed the supplies and the children were thrilled.

1 Peter 4:10 says, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." And Luke 6:38 says, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap." Boss Henry has been using his gifts to serve others, and God is blessing him as well as his home community.

This is how God builds sustainable communities. As we continue to educate the next generation of adults in Galette Chambon, these individuals will be in a position to share their own blessings and use their gifts to serve others in the community.
