Please lift John Lawson, his family and all the medical teams up in prayer.

The Madison-Mayodan community is asked to join in urgent prayer for Brother John Lawson, a beloved member of True Gospel Baptist Church, who was involved in a serious tree accident today. He has been admitted to Baptist Hospital and is currently receiving care. Please also keep Janice and the entire Lawson family in your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. Your support and prayers mean a great deal to the family and the community.

The following prayer was sent to us by a fellow church member and friend to share. She has ask the entire community to lift John up today and the days ahead.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Brother John Lawson, a cherished member of the Madison-Mayodan community and True Gospel Baptist Church family. Lord, You know the seriousness of the tree accident he has experienced today. We ask for Your mighty hand of healing to be upon him as he is cared for at Baptist Hospital. Please grant the doctors wisdom and skill in every step of his treatment.

We also pray for Janice and the entire Lawson family during this difficult time. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and give them strength, comfort, and unwavering faith. May they feel the love and support of their community and Your presence beside them.

We trust in Your grace and mercy, Lord, and ask for a miraculous recovery for Brother John. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

PRAYER & ACTIONS:

Today's shooting of a Student at their Bus Stop in Gastonia is only one example of the dangers that our young people are faced with each day, and this should be a wake up call to us all to be more attentive to our Students and our Children.

Pray? Yes, absolutely! But don't wait for God to do it all for you.

We have to be talking to our Children, the young people in our lives and asking them "how are you doing" and "do you feel safe" and "is there something or someone bothering you" or simply "what's going on in your world".

These are questions that we need to be asking and we should be asking because we care and we want to know, and not simply to be able to say that we asked. We have a responsibility to care for our Children and our young people that is a God given responsibility of the gift of the child that He has placed in our lives.

Let's lift our Children up in prayer and let's put our prayers into action by talking to them! May God's blessings be with you all and Lord keep our kids safe.
