Well it's official! Pastor Steph cannot keep up with Carol!

Pastor Steph (already sore) will be resting tomorrow; Carol will be returning to finish the deck. She also started the deck days ago by setting the posts! She's amazing.

Lenten Word-of-the-Day: Transform.

I am reminded of the time I was on a silent retreat in Sewanee, TN. As I sat looking over the mountains, a cicada landed on the post in front of me. Little did I know that it would sit there for hours watching it transfrom from a creepy, crawly, brown thing that often sends shivers down my spine -- into a beautiful, vibrant, creation of God. It took it's time. After coming out of the shell, it had to wait there for a while to fully dry and stretch it's wings.

That retreat was titled "the Lily Summer Discernment Institute" and that summer I was absolutely transformed. So much so, it was the summer that determined my calling and career path. I discerned alright! I discerned that I can either run from my calling and fight it, or I could embrace it and be *transformed.*
