Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities - Diocese of Madison

Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities - Diocese of Madison The Apostolate works to provide resources and education so that people of all abilities feel welcome Tom Campion and Msgr. Larry Bakke!

The Apostolate to the Handicapped was recently renamed the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities to include more people who are challenged by intellectual or sensory disabilities in addition to the people who have physical disabilities. This new name also reflects wording being used at a national level for disability ministry in the Catholic Church. We are always grateful for the strong foundat

ion the Apostolate has in Monroe, the volunteers who built this office for the past 50 years, and the leadership of Msgr.

Reminder to register for the St. Margaret Mass THIS SUNDAY, MAY 3rd!

All are invited to join us for our annual St. Margaret Sensory Friendly Adoration and Mass on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Check out the flyer for more details and please call or email us at [email protected], (608) 821-3050. Please request any additional accommodations and
note any allergies or dietary restrictions when you make your reservation.

Never heard of a Sensory Friendly Mass or Adoration before or curious for more details? Here is a bit of info:

We will have softer music, dimmer lighting, and pictorial resources for those with accommodation needs. Families are encouraged to bring materials that can assist with comfort during the liturgy: noise cancelling headphones, wiggle seats, fidgets, etc. For this Mass, we will have some of these available for use as well. We understand there are people who may need to move or make sounds throughout. All are welcome to this Mass.
