In May 1986, a small group of people met at the home of Alan and Darlene Hancock to discuss the feasibility of establishing another African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Madison community. It was evident that there was a growing Black population with unfulfilled spiritual needs in the community.

With everything happening in our city, our nation, and around the world, we need hope. We need healing. We need unity. We need God’s direction. I believe God has already prepared a life-changing message through Pastor Stubbs that will strengthen our faith, encourage our hearts, and remind us that God is still in control!
