Feast Day of the Transfiguration

O God, who on the holy mount revealed to chosen witnesses your well-beloved Son, wonderfully transfigured, in raiment white and glistening: Mercifully grant that we, being delivered from the disquietude of this world, may by faith behold the King in his beauty; who with you, O Father, and you, O Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Pinacoteca di Brera is the main public gallery for paintings in Milan, Italy. It contains one of the foremost collections of Italian paintings from the 13th to the 20th century, an outgrowth of the cultural program of the Brera Academy, which shares the site in the Palazzo Brera.
Noli me tangere ('touch me not') is the Latin version of a phrase spoken, according to John 20:17, by Jesus to Mary Magdalene when she recognized him after His resurrection.

🌟 What if one simple rule really could change the world?

Members of St. James the Less Episcopal Church and Community Taekwondo celebrated the 4th of July and gave everyone a fantastic lesson with a skit call the The Golden Rule based on a book by Ileen Cooper.

Through a little acting, a lot of fun, and one timeless message, we explored an idea shared across cultures and communities: treat others the way you would want to be treated.

We are so proud of everyone who stepped up, joined in, and helped tell this story. We hope you enjoy our rendition of The Golden Rule—and maybe carry its message with you long after the video ends. 💛

Lord God Almighty, you have made all the peoples of the earth for your glory, to serve you in freedom and in peace: Give to the people of our country a zeal for justice and the strength of forbearance, that we may use our liberty in accordance with your gracious will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

While Independence Day rightly celebrates national freedom, the Church also prays more broadly for the well-being and unity of all people within the nation. The Collect for the Nation, appointed in the Book of Common Prayer, reminds the faithful that liberty finds its truest expression in justice, mercy, and mutual care. It calls the Church to intercede for those who govern and for citizens alike—that all may seek the common good under God’s providence.
